Just in Case!

Here's a 1979 Case 35 1/2 jack pattern in appaloosa bone. The color compares very well to the appaloosa bone GEC used on their 54 cuban frame in 2009.

Nice bunch of Cases, "interspersed" in your pics, Duncan! I don't mind looking for knives in your interesting pictures; not in the least!
Good grab on the Saddlehorn!
But that redbone congress is the star of the field!

Nice Appaloosas BigLM!! Always liked that concept of Bone dying.

Some really great knives so far guys  Here's my one and only Case (I've had more but they've moved on to better homes). It's a Texas Jack in stag. Not sure of the year, I'd need to take a look at the tang stamp.

Mine are all relatively new. I love 'em.

I look forward to creating as much real-life beausage on/with them as possible before handing them down when the time comes....

Thanks for adding yours, Nathan and pertinux. Welcome additions!

Here's a Red Stag XX 5247 1/2SP. I think it is 3 7/8".

I think of this model, with it's spey blade, as a two-blade stockman. Similar configurations have been referred to with that name in other companies' old catalogs.

Here are two 10-dot (1970) 6318s. They are the slim version with a Muskrat-like main blade, and one has a punch.

The one with the punch is carbon steel, the other is stainless.

Rick, that greenie is outstanding.
Here are a few of my older ones.

All the other knives are great also.
Thanks for sharing.

I just got this today in the mail, won it from Brutus013 in a giveaway here on the forums, thanks Curtis, I'm lovin' this knife already, you made an old man happy.

More nice Cases showing up - but we need lots more!!

I will bet that at least one third of the members here have an old Case knife that we'd like to see! ;)

Go get that knife, and show it off! Entertain your friends!!:D:thumbup:

One more from me today, before I go do my chores. This one belongs in several threads, but I'll put it here. About time I posted a Harness Jack anyway!!

a Case Tested XX 2228PU: (Sorry about the grease on the blades.)

This knife is pretty much unused. Teardrops were a popular pattern 100 years ago, but mostly disappeared about WWI. Queen brought them back, and then Great Eastern in modern times.

Some absolutely beautiful knives shown here. Thanks for starting this thread Charlie!

Here is a Case Pen single back-spring 1974

And a Case and Sons( i think );all I can see is the 'Sons' on the tang. Only has one scale (almost). Shown in its best light but wanted full disclosure. It may be dated to 1905-1914 from my research. I need a better pic and those more knowledgeable than I can correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi Charlie,

That's a really nice looking knife. After having my first teardrop by GEC I can now look at that and see how comfortable it would be to handle.

I wonder why they lost momentum around WWI?

Here's a couple more... 1977 4" Texas Jack (6292) and
a newer single blade Sowbelly.

Man..that Old Case teardrop is a honey for sure Charlie, and guys....you have some absolutely lovely Cases out there!!
Charlie, the Red Stag XX 5247 1/2SP what era is that from, was this before the '70's red bone series?
Nathans one and only Case is a beauty for sure...and I have always admired that shot when we are lucky enough for him to share it with us.
Gevonovich's Older case at the bottom of his photo's....could we see more of this knife please Sir?

I took a few quick pics for you Sir. They are not very good...sorry. I will replace them later with pics of other Case knives so not to hijack this fine thread. Since you and Charlie are fine friends and I enjoy all your posts, I went ahead and did it.

Contrasted a bit.

Gevonovich, thank you so much for taking the time to take these shots, it is neat to see this Grand Old Lady still here with us, carries her scars, but I would much rather that than not have that neat old knife....what a pleasure to own something like that.
