Just Lost Another CR Knife, am I the only one?

Sorry to hear of your loss. Sadly, I too am a member of the I Lost A CRK Club. I lost a large 21 silver dog paws. I had a 4 CRK folder rotation going and every couple of days I would exchange it for another. I kept them in a pouch that a dealer had given me when placing an order. It held all 4 CRK. At times, I would be using 2 of them. When I needed one for something, I went to get my silver dog paws and it wasn't there. I have no idea what I last did with it, where I was using it, nothing. Later I also realized that I was missing a woodland camo spec ops brand bag as well. Since both went missing at roughly the same times, I always felt the Sebenza was in there. I have moved several times since, but I still hold out hope I will come across it. Though hope fades with each passing year.

Hearing about someone losing a knife, let alone a CRK, is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. Hope it turns up.....

My wife bought me a beater sebenza since she knew I wanted one a few weeks ago from a pawn shop and I lost it in a scuffle using it in self defense.
It was a beater , it had scratches and the knife had to be reprofiled when I got it but it still hurt lol

I have never lost any knives, but I adopted a "clip into the pocket when not in hand" procedure to prevent just such an unfortunate incident. It also prevents unauthorized use by persons in your vacinity. Yes, you'll be handling it more but that's better than not having it to handle.

I feel your pain! Very sorry to hear, hopefully it'll show.i lost a Strider at work..upset me so bad I went, plus I knew I wouldn't do my job correctly because I'd be looking for my knife all night, luckily a buddy found that one, ever since then I put it back in my pocket and consistently feel for the clip.

I've lost one knife and fortunately it wasn't one of my CR folders. I just got the Spyderco Leek with G10 scales and it fell out of my pocket. I just got it in the mail, too. That was years ago. Sorry about your loss, OP. It sucks.

Not a CR but a Busse fixed blade. I know where its at, but I can't get to it. Its at the bottom of the ocean almost 1000 feet down. At least no one has it or is using it. That would upset me.

It was a 4 or 5 on 1situation . I wasn't carrying since I sold my gun to pay for school lol but I'm in Texas so as long as there's reason to pull a knife it's not illegal.

Sorry to hear you were not packing your heat, hard choices are just that.... I've gone to carrying a Glock most of the time, so I won't be separated from my Wilson in a bad situation. I've come to trust the Glock, but the Wilson is real security!Hope you can get another piece soon....

I've lost an old pivot 09 umnumzaan with my birthdate before and have yet to find it.

This is nuts! I literally just lost my star tac zaan as well, so you're not alone. This is my first loss. I can't eat I can't sleep. It's such a feeling of despair. The worst.

Thanks everyone. I'm starting to see why many just collect, and don't use their high end knives. Takes allot of the fun out of it for me, but maybe it's more reasonable.

Couldn't agree more.

I have only technically lost one knife for more than several days. I usually will put them in my back and take to work or on a trip upon returning not unpack my bag and misplace them for a day or two. I did loose a Benchmade 710 for several weeks and I was absolutely devastated because It was my first Benchmade back when I first got into nicer knives. Ended up being under the back seat of my wifes jeep. Think it fell out of my pocket while driving and at the time I used to carry two blades I was probably opening and closing the other one and lost track of the 710.

I don't think I would be able to live with myself if I lost one of my two CRK's just because they have sentimental value, even though they're users. Being in the military and especially in aviation, I'm constantly checking my tools and the contents of my pockets so nothing is misplaced and ends up into the jet intake and ruins a multi-million dollar engine.

Be hopefully that it will turn up but doubtful since you moved. Treat yourself and buy a new one "just because".

Tough loss:( I lost a small regular Sebenza several years back...still hurts even now! I thought I lost another sebenza a little while back but it turned up in the washing machine. Hopefully yours will find its way back home!

I forgot about one. I lost a Large mint shape Ambonya. Well i didnt lose it the mailman did...

Never have owned a CRK so no chance to loose one.

I did recently loose my Benchmade 551 though. To make it worse, I had just purchased a set of orange scales for the thing. So now I have a beautiful set of scales and nothing to put them on.

main reason I sold my sebenza, right after I had a scare where it slipped out of my pocket into the car seat gap and was missing for a few days. I'm not careless with my things but I'm not perfect either. Just too much dough for me to chance. I could've just kept it at home locked up just for fondling. :p
