Just one first aid item. What's yours?

In the Army we carried the standard pressure dressing on our person and we had a standard “first aid” kit (band aids and stuff) and a combat lifesaver kit (IVs splints and more advanced stuff) in the turret. I was a DAT, so things might have been different for you.
I think sometimes people get to caught up with what looks or sound “cool” and not what’s practical! I’m not trying to rub anyone the wrong way or start a fight- I’m just saying. My neighbor watches way too much Seal Team and buys plate carriers and his AR has so many accessories it is un shootable!E0DCA842-0039-4588-AFD4-441F38DE6680.jpeg

Sam from PrepMedic has a good take. I never thought of carrying compressed gauze over a tourniquet because I felt that could be improvised, stuffing the wound with clothing if needed. Still, it made me rethink the one item I would carry if I could only carry one.
