You win...

It took me a while to realize what knife that was! If you did the work, great job!!!
Thank you! It wasn't me, the work was done by a knifrmaker in Europe, I received the knife last night.
M390 hardened to 62.4 HRC, asymmetrical flat grind, one side edge falls in the middle of the blade, 15 degrees edge. Cuts like nothing else I've seen...
Blade was my design, you can see the old-one along with the scales in front of the glass... :D

I'm very happy, I only have crappy pictures so far but when I take some that worth posting I'll do it...

And...! This time I wanted to please the purists: Please note! No ice in the glass ! ... :D

Looks beautiful. Wharnie RAT with a wave. What could be better?

VERY sweet knife, but actually I was going to talk smack to you about putting ice in whisky (for some reason it looked like it at first glance), until I looked closer and saw we were good. All is well. :D

Well, originally it was supposed to have hollow grind and thumb disk built in to the wave... You can see it in my crappy drawings...
Eventually during the process we dropped the hollow grind and the thumb disk, I'll do another blade with such setup, this material got too much chromium in it and it's hard to tap the thread for the thumb disk, the guy was keep breaking the taps...
I'm happy that way, no issues at all flipping the knife open with my thumb, slow or fast, wave of course works flawlessly out of the pocket...
I'm happy, total cost is below $150 with all the traveling to EU and back, I'm putting this little buddy to work right away without worry that I'm damaging a $400 knife...

Ha ha... It's hard to teach old dog new tricks... I always liked my scotch over ice, or at least cold... :D

Yes, please! Let me know how it holds up. You chose a great steel to work with, and the blade itself looks slick

I also enjoyed seeing your sketches. I assume this European knife maker was open to all your feedback/suggestions?
