  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Just pix of knives

A simple small 4" test blade of XHP heated in open atmosphere and quenched in oil. Distal taper about .09" at the thickest near the tang.

(XHP is a steel that is surprisingly tolerant of being heated quickly and then quenched in oil, but less tolerant of being heated to a high temperature and then lingering there in open atmosphere).

I'm not a knife maker, just starting to experiment with knives. Takes and holds a hard fine edge well, even if toughness may suffer a little from not being commercially heat treated.

But it was modernized US tanto
now it's real Tanto :^)))
Not bad for me
I can take it from you, save your big existential pains
Haha. I’m gonna have it made into a razel. I had arced it a few years back and left a good little weld mark on it. It snapped right at that spot. From what I’ve gathered it may have very well weakened the steel when that happened
