Beat-up fixed by Shane Sibert. I purchased new in about 2005(?) from "REK, Reverse Edge Knives" online retailer back when I was actively receiving FMA training.
This has been everywhere with me and has a Kydex sheath. S30V and I believe Cerakoted. I started trying to do a basic surface refinish using sandpaper. When done to my satisfaction will put edges on it. Not designed to be a slicer, lol.
Best regards and God bless

That is a great looking knife with what could be a dark, designed purpose

Hello RLB0414. If it came down to it, I believe it would be very effective.
Truly, God willing I hope it never sees its designed purpose (or any other weapon I own).
Best regards and God bless.

I agree, it would be very effective. Also agree none of my weapons ever see the designed purpose

I've been re-covering traditional knives for a little while now, but this is my first attempt at making scales for a modern. This is a Rat II with oak scales. I only used oak because a had a bunch of very thin scraps from another project. The scales were cut with a laser engraver and hand sanded. They are a litter thinner than I would like, but I didn't have anything thicker. The screws are a little proud, but as a prototype it came out pretty good.

I'm working on a bocote version that should be done later today or tomorrow.

Those look super good! What type of laser engraver are you using if you don't mind?
