I wish I could do that with my knives, even my customs bounce around in my pocket or loose in a box of some kind. I gotta congratulate you on your ... I can't think of the right word for it but you for lack of a better word, compulsive storage method. I mean that as a compliment, my knives all look used, if I own it and don't have to give it back to anyone it's obvious it gets used, none of my blades look pristine after I start to carry them.:)

ETA, I think I'd need at least 20 pelican cases if not more to store my knives like that, I liked knife rolls the best but nothing beats just having them sitting out where they're easy to get and look at..

Yea I use to have most of mine in my garage. But my son is older and would have no problems with grabbing one of them. Like when I found him sawing ants in half with my spyderco ladybug. So now for most of my knives they go into the pelican cases

I drafted up a couple of knives and after some sorting and organizing Adam Vigil has agreed to make them for me. These are 2 of 5 that I am currently waiting on, the others are from other knifemakers, of which one of them is also in this forum, and an excellent craftsman at that.

I've included a link for anyone who wishes to download a high res PDF file containing the knives to scale. With Acrobat one can easily adjust the scale which the program prints out any surface area of a PDF doc with very small increments in size change. Thereby one can decide the overall length they wish the knife to be, and through a little trail and error make the program print it out to the exact length they want, ready for cutting and using.

Given the low ratio of handle to blade that these knives have, it best to not go less than about 11 & 3/4" overall length because you may find the handle becomes too small to grip for large hands.

I have fused the designs of 3 great knife-makers into each blade and added a little bit in myself to aid the melding in a seamless manner.

They should be very nice knives once Adam is through with them. Will post pics when they arrive.:)

Thanks Charlie... I'll no doubt be doing a bit of the 3 Stooges Curly Howard's "whoop-whoop-whoop-whoop" when the deliver man hands them over.:D
