Just received $26 Ontario Joe Pardue Utilitac Folding Knife, drop point, round handle

Mine just came today. Its the plain edge tanto with the square scales and I couldn't be happier with it. I'm not usually a tanto kinda guy but this one just looked like a beast and I wasn't disappointed.

Come on guys, lets stick to the subject at hand. We're not here to talk about some knife, we're here to complain about the absence of a free speech anarchist utopian legal sub forum(does that even make sense?). Now if this persists I will be forced to report you all to the mods, and you can bet your behind that infractions will pursue.
The nerve of some people, shameful I say, just shameful...

Seriously though, how is the f and f on those utilitacs? I'm aware they are $30ish, but are they above say Kershaw's lower end knives?

Yes, some knives stand out as better deals when compared to others. It's like finding the needle in the haystack. It's a lot of knife, well made with lots of quality for $26. Hard to complain about the price and the quality.

If you read this thread from the beginning, it sort of morphs, evolves and changes shape slowly. You don't really plan this, it sort of occurs from the responses of others, something you cannot control. Maybe that's where I will post my suggestion there later.

We are all aware of it. But, really, thanks. Why don't you consider posting there?

I haven't owned any Ontario knives, but I'm definitely going to keep this one in mind for the future.
I love mine, but I keep giving them away!
Hey, if you can afford to give them away and they are being put to good use, more power to you.
Maybe there is a couple less, "hey, do you have a knife I can use" people in the world.:p

I just checked the Ontario website again. I see 6 knives total. 2 handle styles, 2 blade styles, 2 blade colors. How many combinations is tbat? I do not see 1/2 serrated or full serrated. What am I missing?

Knice knives. I've given them away to people that are close to me that were always asking for my blades. Happened with my Rat-1s too. Gave one to my dad, one to a friend. I don't really usually ever give away junk, and I don't like to give away more expensive blades, but these are cheap enough and good enough that I don't feel bad on either account.

You are missing a lot. Let's see...who makes the knife you started this thread about...what freedom of speech is...what the rules are to this forum...if the knife you posted about has serrations as an option...how to obtain legal information on copyright laws...and on and on.

On topic, I would like to address a question posted above about the Fit and Finish of the Utilitac II vs. the budget kershaws. To me, in the two examples of the Utilitac II that I have had (one I still have and use and the other was given away) I can say that the Fit & Finish is on par with the budget kershaws, might even be better. Further, I feel the materials are better on the Utilitac II but this is subjective. I like the Aus8 better than 8cr. I don't personally care about country of origin but if one does, the Utillitac is not made in China but rather Taiwan.

I'm about to order a Utilitac, myself. Just need to decide which one.

Leaning toward a black serrated tanto model, just because I don't usually buy black or serrated blades when I have a choice, and I want something different. Decisions, decisions....Why life gotta be so hard? :p

Meh...Couldn't decide, so I picked up two, one black PE tanto and one black serrated tanto. :D

I love it, I have 4. Round handle drop point satin finish, coffin handle drop point black blade, round handle tanto point black blade, coffin handle tanto point black full serrated blade.

I'd say fit and finish is at least as good as the budget Kershaws, possibly better. I slightly prefer their AUS-8 to Kershaw's 8Cr13MoV as well. They are very stout...they strike me as like a budget ZT.

What is the reason for the two different handles? I assume they are both made out of the same material. I have considered picking one up, but could not decide which handle to get. Do you have a preference between the two? Is one more rigid or grippy than the other?
