Just recieved my Demko Custom American Lawman

I noticed that next to the Strider SMF at 4" adverstised blade. Your Demko has a longer blade at 3.5" due to all of the finger choil stuff on the SMF.

How does this open by comparison to your SMF? Easier / harder?

It a beauty Jim.

It's about the same pressure and smooooooth. :D

That's the Beauty of the Custom Tri Ad Lock. :D

What is the forward hole in the handle for?

Can't be for a lanyard it would get cut when the knife gets closed.

Andrew siad something about it before, I don't remember what it was exactly.

One could put a fitted 2 piece meal pin in there though and turn it into a fixed blade. :D

What kind of bushings are used on the blade pivot?

best regards -

Going off of the top left picture in the original post of this thread, they appear to be PB washers, but that only means something if Andrew uses them standard, as that thread deals with a different Demko custom.

I haven't taken it apart so I will have to let Andrew answer that one. :)

You shouldn't have to. A flashlight pointed towards the pivot area of the closed knife should tell the tale.;) Great knife BTW!

Thanks Man. :)

Just finished shooting a cutting test video with this knife, same as the others, cutting cardboard then slicing paper. :)

It cuts like a razor knife and the CPM 154 steel holds an edge extremely well and sliced the paper easy and still shaved hair. :)

Video will be up later on today.

Let me get this straight, you are saying that you like this knife?

Like isn't quite strong enough IMO. :D

It slices better and holds an edge longer than any other knife I own hands down.

I guess you could say I love this knife.

CPM 154 is the steel IMO, it killed S30V and most of the others I tested, I can see why a lot of Custom makers use it. :D

Not sure if it was politically correct ... but hey ... this is a party!

I was trying to play on the "now let me get it straight" line of that song.

I am looking forward to get my knife in late desember. Much like yours Ankerson, but with CPM-M4

I know what you mean. :D

Well in the end only 2 steels that I tested shaved hair after my cardboard cutting tests....

CPM 154 and CPM S35VN.

So from my informal tests they are the top dogs for cutting cardboard. :)
