:DAfter a year of looking, finally i found an xm-18. Its totally worth the money. I got the flipper 3 inch. I couldnt be happier, the fit and finish is awesome. Now a days they are going for around 850.00 on auction sites for a tumbled 3 inch, so i paid a little to much but , its soooo worth it. If you ever have the chance to get one snatch it up, you wont be sorry.:D

No this isnt a hand ground version. Its a standard 3 inch flipper. The prices latley have jumped up, but i could find a 3 inch flipper anywhere, so i jumped on it when i found one. Ive been tracking the auction site, and most are going for around 850.00.

Damn! They've went up. I got mine for $515.00 on a sales forum a couple months ago. I wonder what has caused this surge? I looked on feebay and there's one at $810 with 3 days left. I'm suprised to say the least. I still don't want to sell mine though.

That seems pretty high even for an XM-18. That's about the price for the full customs. But as long as you're happy with the knife, that's all that matters. Congrats on your score. My XM-18 is my all time favorite knife.

Oh wow, that is a lot of money. I hope you put it through its paces as a 'user' and then write or record a review.

Up until this point all of the reviews I've seen have been by guys who have a knife that looks brand new. Let's see someone take it 'to hell and back', and then give their honest impressions.

Wow , the price of the mid-tech xm-18's is strong on the secondary.

Wow, that is a tribute to Rick Hinderer and his abilities. He is starting to flirt with Ken Onion Mid-tech prices and I am certain that's an honor for him or any other maker for that matter.

Gen 3 NON handground blades are a table price of 385.00, I picked one up on the secondary market for 500.00 about 8 months ago.

Dealers started to get long awaited orders in so, believe it or not there are more available on the market than previously.

At 940.00 Something does not add up, that is NOT a GEN III stonewashed non handground price.

wow, congrats and all, but yes to a question before, from rick they are 385 but the only way to get one if to go to a knife show and enter in the lottery and if you get picked, you can buy whatever from his table. and also, a NIB black G-10 scale Xm-18 with a 3.5 inch blade just went on the USN for 575. in fact, for the you payed, you could've gotten a hand ground one on the secondary market and still had money left over. you really, really, really got ripped off IMO.

If you look on feebay they are selling at that price right now. I had to look after reading his post. A month ago it was $500-$700 on fleebay. I got mine on a forum though.

Nope , didnt get ripped off at all; as of october 27, at 8:51 pm est. Xm-18 mid techs are now at 810.00 plus. The " bay " has had two tonight go for well over 800.00. So to anyone who has said i got ripped off, please try to keep up with current trends.

You didn't get ripped off if you think the price that you paid justifies the overall product.

I bet it was fun finally snagging that piece that you've been keeping an eye out for :)

Glad you checked it out steelsnob. 5 months ago they were around 500.00 bucks, but as you saw now a plain old gen 3 is over 800.00 bucks.
