Someone mentioned Rick getting near Onion prices. This is something that I just can't comprehend. Admittedly, I have never held a Hinderer, though I am sure he makes an excellent folder as evidenced by his following, but Ken worked hard a long time to develop new designs, new/experimental materials use, new machining methods, etc. I feel that Ken truly is an innovative and incredible Designer / Maker, thus i understand the prices his works commands.
Most of the Hinderer's I have seen have looked very similiar, a simple design with good materials. Could they really be smoother than a Bogusz., more artistically original than a Ryan or more curvateous (sp) and well made than an Onion? I just don't understand the reason that Rick's knives command such high prices on the secondary other than lack of supply?
But I am glad that the OP got one and is so thrilled with his purchase. Congratulations.
