I haven't been able to get out in weeks, finally had a full free Saturday so I loaded my pack with knives and headed out.

Ranger Puukko M.07 I've had this one for a couple months now, and I'm liking it. I was bored and the coating was pretty dinged up, so I'm in the process of removing it.

Thanks Mike. It's a sweet blade. When I missed the one Ray had posted, I asked him to make me one in natural Micarta, I love it.

I grew my nails out just for that pic ;) My wife played lovely hand model for that one actually :D

Great pics though! Is that yellow flower a cactus flower? Which knid of cactus (I know very little about that terrain and am trying to learn)

There's a real kind of barren beauty in that country. Don't get me wrong, I know there's lots of life, it's just so different from my neck of the woods. Thanks for posting.

Yep it is prickly pear cactus. We have tons of it around here. The flowers are in full bloom right now and they look pretty. The fruit is great but doesn't stick around too long. You can also eat the pads after removing the spines and the thick outer skin.

It's a cool knife. It's almost like a carbon steel version of the F1, but slightly larger and with a fatter handle which I like. I also like the sheaths on the Ranger knives, really unique and bomb proof. I had the M95, but I prefer this smaller one. It has a little bit wider blade and more curve to the edge too.

And the cool rubber retention wheel in the sheath, you can also see that there is a plastic liner inside, plus the leather is thick. No safety concerns with cutting through this sheath!
