I just wanted to share this BK4testing vid for those of you that don't watch Youtube. Gavkoo has quite a few videos with Beckers in them if you want to watch them.

I saw gavkoos video last week, he did a pretty good job of putting the machax to work, but I'm still not sold...

Gavkoo is the most annoying Youtube "Knife Pro" i´ve ever listened to. His "famous" BK2 Mod let me die a little inside everytime is see it.

I love it when a knife review compares a 14 ounce knife to one that weighs TWICE AS MUCH in terms of chopping ability.

His comparison of the BK4 to the Full sized Kukuri was like comparing a boy scout hatchet to a forest axe.

He should have compared it to a BK 9 or a Buck Hoodlum.

He did say that he was comparing a jack of all trades to a specialized tool, so he wasn't dead serious on the comparison.

I realize that,

It still does not change the fact that he was comparing apples to oranges. Maybe down the road, he can compare the Machaxe to the BK9 and the Hoodlum, etc.

I do like Gavkoo though ,he seems to be a decent guy .. I just wish someone would clue him into the fact that Machaxes existed before the Camillus era..

He knew it was the first design Ethan got into production, so I think it's safe to assume (ass out of u and me, later that's what this will be) that he didn't know that Becker's where ever made by blackjack/chicago.

thanks man. i didnt know beckers history at all. im amateur, just know what i use and handle. i dont study history and all. just having fun

however i do know ethan becker personally, thats why i knew it was his first design that hit production

also as someone else stated, i know it wasnt fair to compare bk14 to full size kukri(although its far from being twice as heavy 14oz vs 18oz or so) but i also said so in the video. it was just out of the curiosity test and i think its actually very valid to see what you lose and what you gain with each design, weight, size... i really love machax. excellent knife imho. i love all the beckers i have except bk2 haha.
