Like I said, you are a decent sort. And ,and history IS my thing. Always has been since I was about 10 years old. You can't really know where you are going unless you know where you have been..

I will defend to the death your right to ruin a perfectly good BK7 with crazy mods, wear tank tops ,whatever..LOL...

Do you have a Hoodlum and BK 9? Side by side comparisons of them with the Machaxe would be every instructive as to the effect the blade design has on the chopping power with all other things being close to equal..

lol hey, the customizing alwasy comes down to the taste and personal preference noone cant really say something is ruined no matter how it looks as long as it works... because taste is subjective... only the function is objective...

i dont have hoodlum but i do have bk9 (gifted to me by ethan himself down at pwyp2011) and i love that knife. i think they will both be about equal in the use. will at least a week or two before i'll get outdoors again but when i do, i will make sure to make some head to head video between 4 and 9. maybe i'll throw something else to the mix too. perhaps my 3V Spartan (14oz or pure power which will honestly put both beckers to shame lol but its a bit different price category) but out of the 4 and 9 i think i would prefer 4 because i think it has slight advantage for chopping, the grip is closer to edge so detail work is much easier then with bk9 and the steeper grind will probably make it a bit better splitter even though its recurve shape, i think it will outperform bk9 in many tasks. well probably except the food prep lol.

given how many BHs were pining and whinging for the Machax, i've seen precious few reviews and esp videos from y'all, so ... good on Gavkoo for putting it out there.

you should definitely get one, and convex it, and report on it.

that said, there's one for sale as you've seen six times by now?

where are you located? apparently you made it to last year's PWYP - cool - i haven't gone as yet. would have to drive, if i want to shoot zombies

i live in Brooklyn... so yeah, i had to drive a fair bit too. went with my friend. pwyp was a great great get together. as was PEACE up north at marty simons survival school. nothing better then bunch of like minded people camping together having fun...

This is so weird. I posted this video on my Facebook just a couple of days ago.

I liked the guy, kind of like a real FPS Russia but with knives.

Any guy that is willing to suck on a chip of wood to let us know the conditions of the material being used is a great reviewer.

Here is my review of his review.

The video is of high quality and good sound. The man in the scenes has a good foreign accent which gives the video some flavor. His attire was of good taste considering it was probably hot out and the back ground scenery was very realistic.

His review of the BK4 was spot on as is his remarks to the BK2.

After watching his video I looked for more reviews by him since I really respected what he had to say.
As I watched this video I said to myself that this guy would be cool to hang with.

I give him 5 stars out of 5 stars and hope to see more reviews from him in the future.

i pmed him. im totally buying that blade. i recently absolutely fell in love with that shape of the blade on my customs so i absolutely want that blade to see how are mine doing compare to that beast by master ethan i dont really like to haggle because i dont like when people do that to me when i sell something lol. thanks for the help guys

you bet i will already paid for the brute i cant wait. it was one of my dream knives for a while but since i dont really browse the forums, i never thought i would actually got a hold of one i did hear a little hint from ethan while back that there might be something happening in future with the brute... which would be epic

yeah, I'd love to get my hands on one but dont know what customs or my parents would say if I picked one up . Also, you seen the BK-6 patrol machete? I think you'll like that one. Someone listed an unground one awhile back, you could pick it up and put a full height convex on it.
