I sent Kyle Eichenseer a Benchmade Snody 210 Activator, New In Box, back in early January 2005. I also included a $5 bill per his request to have it shipped back. He said he'd make me a kydex sheath. No big deal right?

Well, now 8 months have went by and nothing. I have sent multiple requests to him via his gmail email address and to (EDITED) a friend of his. One time (back months ago) i was told the sheath had been made and (edited) his friend, would send it to me, then I got told he hadn't started on it, then another story.

I don't care about the sheath, just want my property back before I have to take more official actions. I have never done anything to these guys, just want my personal property back.

I hate to take this public, but since emails don't get answered, I have to do this.

Uh oh, hope you don't get banned elsewhere for asking about your stuff here. Anywho, if you don't know about it already, you may want to search GBU for Eichenseer as there is a boatload of posts on him and his business dealings, mostly from one thread. In the end someone else had to make good on that one. :thumbdn: :thumbdn:

Good luck,

ReconTech,

As both a Usual Suspect and BM dealer I would like to make a good will gesture here.

I have a NIB BM210 in stock, that I will send you as soon as you provide your shipping info. I also have a Kydex sheath for it if you still want one…price is $35 if you want it, you can pay me any way you like, and I’ll ship it all together. Please email me your shipping info, and I’ll get this out to you tomorrow, USPS Priority.

I am exchanging my knife for yours…I’ll track that one down eventually, trust me.

Regards,
-Duane.

I am not a good friend to many in the Tactical Knife Community, as I have no patience whatsoever for armchair commandos and Lazyboy Operators, but I have had business dealings with Duane, and found that he under-promised and over-delivered on what he said that he was going to do.

It has always been my belief that talk is easy, but action is difficult. Action is easy, but TRUE understanding is difficult. Duane is one of the good ones, he is just proving it again. One guy like Duane makes up for 10 wannabe's/neverwere's, any day of the week.

Best Regards,

I am proud to call Duane a good friend. He has raised the bar of level of service with EDC Knives. Duane..... anything I can do for you , just say the word my friend.

What Duane is doing is great, but isn't it Kyle Eichenseer that should be getting ReconTech his knife back?

I don't think I have ever seen a situation where a person has screwed over someone twice and both times other people have offered to make things right for him. Good for you Duane, but I would still love to see what excuses Kyle has for this one.

Recontech wants his knife back, no one can blame him for that. He will get it, just like he wants. So the deal is done, by proxy but still it is done. Good for you Duane! A very cool stand up thing to do. But then you are Duane, and no one would ever expect less than the best from you!!!

ABOVE and beyond as usual sir. Thanks again!....1 of a kind to say the least. :D Be well duane.

What do you care?
Is it your knife?

Somebody screwed the pooch/dropped the soap...and someone else is taking up the slack. Problem resolved...end of story...move along...nothing to see here.

Ok, I think between Duane and someone else who has contacted me, the situation is resolved. Mods, feel free to close this thread. Thanks guys.

Yes I do care, and no it isn't my knife.

I've got to agree with Mr. Montgomery. That's great of Duane to help. I wish I had more friends like him. Then at the same time it seems like Kyle has a new knife and five bucks in his pocket at the expense of Duane and Recontech. As long as everyone is happy I guess.

That is a good thing. If you are spoiling for a crapstorm headed in your general direction, you are going about it in the right way. We like to know who BOTH the good guys are over here, AND the bad guys.

Welcome to the BladeForums, if you behave like a nice person, you will be treated like a nice person.

Sometimes there are things going on in a person's life that only their close friends know about. Situations that you would not enjoy if they were going on in your life.
At times like that, if you have good friends, they step forward for you.
Had this situation been known about sooner, it would have been taken care of sooner.
Friends take care of friends.
