Just wanted to share some pics of a gentleman's knife I just got.

I know you haven't had it for long, but so far, what are your thought's about the PAUL lock?

I think the Paul lock is great, on this knife at least. I have heard that it tends to develop some play on the larger folders such as the Defender. I would probably stay away from it if it was used on a cheaper knife just because it seems to need precise fitting in order to work right. The one thing I don't really like about it is that it could be considered a gravity knife. Due to the very minimal use this knife will see, I'm sure that I won't have any problems with it even though I've read that it is a strong locking mechanism.

In regards to my comment about wondering if Benchmade's acquisition of Lone Wolf is a good thing, it's because I wonder if they will continue to do the unique limited runs that make the Paul series so cool. Benchmade is a rock solid manufacturer, but I have to admit I'm not a big fan of most of their catalog. The only one I currently own is the 51 and the Bradley Mayhem which Benchmade manufactured. Personally, I tend to ignore the drama and buy the knives I find appealing. My suggestion is if you want an original Lone Wolf Paul knife, better snap it up now!

Oh I don't know about that. After all, any Benchmade Axis lock manual knife can open up like a gravity knife if you disengage the lock. I guess we'd need a lawyer to define a "gravity knife" if it can only be opened as such with the lock disengaged.

There's already a thread here somewhere about whether or not the axis lock is actually a gravity knife. I don't want this thread to turn into that. I don't think either are gravity knives, but the law, and the enforcers probably do, so that's enough for me to be hesitant.
