justifying Busse knives

I justified purchasing my first Busse ASH1 knife by telling myself the following:
-It'll never go out of style
-It'll never break
-I'll always carry it with me in the woods
-I'll enjoy it every time I use it
-I can pass it down to my boys (I don't even have a wife yet!)
-It'll only get more expensive if I don't buy it now

All these reasons made sense to me, BUT I didn't think of the addiction that came with every Busse knives. So eight Busse knives later...all of which were justified in the same manner as above, I still have six or seven more Busse knives on my wish list! Anyone else have this same issue?

I feel the same way, and I don't even own a Busse knife yet! The prices are just to high for me right now. That doesn't mean that I can't seriously lust after a Hellrazor or FFBM!

+1

Same reasons here, I have several in my list too... The INFI addiction is pretty bad. It will only get worse...

Ya'll don't yet know the half of it! Luckily, I've got the number one need of a Busse Hog - an understanding wife.

YES, I have that problem!
But don't worry, there is a ganza tomorrow night, and a new FBM comeing out in the next few weeks. Untill I bought my FFBM about three weeks ago my ZT 301 was my most expensive knife by about $70 bucks, and now I'm waiting for the new FBM to come out. There really is no hope.

Hell, I felt the same way with a slightly different rationale each time I bought a knife. Then I figured, just have fun...Jerry Busse has the right idea. I figured if I was going to worry about using, cost, purpose, safe queen, blahblahblah, the whole "tool" thing, I should just buy a screwdriver and be done with it.

Since this is, naturally, a Busse's only thread, it might as well go from the General Knife Discussion to the Busse forum ... :)

I don't have the sickness that bad. I have purchased several Busse kin knives, but I have sold several too. I am in the hunt for the perfect users in different sizes. I purchase one I think I'll like and sell it if it doesn't do anything for me. I don't really have a huge desire to collect them, only to get the best user I can find for the application. I have owned 4 SY knives(still own 2) and I have owned 6 Busse knives(still own 3) with 2 of those possibly on the chopping block soon. I do have my eye on a few others though. By the way, all of your reasons for buying are perfectly legit..

The first one is the hook, and you're caught! Start saving your pennies. You're going to need another fix before you know it!
