Hello friends
I really appreciate the appearance and aesthetics of a hand finished blade, but the path to success, can lead to fatigue and sore fingers
. In the spirit of "no pain, no pain", I have created a system to get us where we want to be, while still being able to use your hands for other beneficial things...like gripping a beer!

Comfort:
This ergo-friendly sanding system (catchy name TBD) is engineered to bring comfort and effectiveness to your bevel and other hand sanding effort. The design focuses on a natural, 2 fisted, position that is in line with your bodies natural power stroke. In conjunction with ergo alignment, the tool is designed to bring a comfortable and sure grip while contouring to allow pressure to be applied in a direct manner, with minimal impact to the user. The scales provide a tactile and cushioned feel without losing grip.
Quality:
This design takes advantage of modern additive mfg techniques ('3D printing') to combine the best strength to weight ratio in a held tool. The entire sanding assembly comes in just shy of 5 ounces and can be used for long sessions with reduced fatigue. Specialized thermo plastics are combined with traditional metal hardware, and inserts where necessary, to insure mechanical durability.

Performance:
The contours provided on the modular sanding blocks match your sanding surface to your tool profile naturally. Wether using a flat or radiused block, the experience for the user is the same and allows even, direct pressure, during the full stroke of push and pull. The result is more efficiency and control of the sanded surface. Your effort is harnessed and transmitted where it counts...on the work. Blocks are available in rubber covered or standard surfaces. You control the amount of compliance in your surface contact to achieve the results you want.

Consumable sand paper options:
A significant portion of the design consideration was to maximize available and widely used sandpaper. I did not want a specialized requirement for the paper used. Everyone has their own prefered paper and methods....you don't have to change that and this system will work with your style. To accommodate the widest range possible, the system accommodates PSA (sticky back) paper as well as standard 9x11 sheets. For PSA (I love Indasa RedLine) any rolls around 2.5" in width can be cut in 1" strips and work great. In this mode, the retention ring is not needed to hold the paper in place. For those who prefer 9"x11" sheets, I have added the semi-elastic retention ring to allow firm grip on the cut sheet strips. Pieces around 3.5" long and 1" wide are ideal....simply cut 3 columns from the 11" side of your sheet and slice these in to 1" strips. This yields about 27 strips per sheet.

Guarantee: My no BS guarantee goes with all JV Knives products. If it's not right, I'll make it right, or return your money.
These are available for $125 PayPal GS or via my site ( www.jvknives.com ). This includes shipping in the lower 48.
Your hand sanding system includes:
1 modular base with ergo scales
1 spinner screw assembly for top attachment
2 top sanding profile units - 1 flat, and 1 radius of your choice (1 have some 10" and 12" wheel units ready but can make to suit). Rubber covered or bare options available.
2 sandpaper attachment rings that can be used interchangeably on any head
Note the colors in the pictures above and I have these currently in black with blue scales and attachment rings. I can accommodate different colors as special order, just reach out. For orders of in stock items, I can get them out in a day or 2. For custom orders, I can get them on the way to you within a week of order. No long lead times!
Thanks for your interest!
