Ka-Bar® Ethan Becker Signautre First Production Run Combat Knife w/ free S&H

People need to calm down about this tweener thing, they're not out yet ok? Stop asking, you'll know they're here when you smell the soiled chairs of the tweeners freaks from half the world over. As someone said before, they may have shipped April 1st but it will take about 2 weeks for them to hit the stores and another few days to be registered as a stocked item. Dont get me wrong, I want a tweener as much as you guys but this is becoming stupid...Although we should blame Ka-Bar and tell them that they should be out by April 1st not shipping on the 1st.

The FPR BK16 at SMKW is still in stock at around 90 as of a few minutes ago.

Isn't one stop knife shop Spark's shop ?
If hes the one who said they are shipping any day I would believe it, hes a stand up guy.

Agreed. I'm a retailer with backordered Tweeners at two wholesalers. No word from them yet that a ship date is imminent.

Hey AW it's been said there are 250 of each of these fpr's. OXide mentioned the differences between them and the expected regular production. The most different will be the 16 as the grind was changed. I like them although the differences will only matter to some knife geeks. The expected strret prices don't include shipping afaik so you're talking 10 to a Max of $20 premium for these. So they are all different but the 16 (drop point) is the most different. I hope you enjoy whatever you end up with!

AW - you got a good knife, regardless of the premium (barely) FPR price. I have the 16, but from all accounts, the 17 is the best of the 3 out of this run. Once the production one's are released, I plan to get all three. If you're a collector, I'd go ahead and order the BK16 from them, just to have the most rare version.

This is what you're getting.

The BK-17 or Becker Short Clip Point.

Apparently Smoky Mountain thinks giving it a long ridiculous name will make it sell better.

First time I heard that. In fact if you talk to Ethan I think he might be more likely to nudge you towards the 16...

A lot of the people that had multiples here preferred the 17 over the 16. However, I'm sure the FFG 16 will be awesome and exactly what Ethan was looking for.

someday over the internet.... tweeners shall fly...

Word up. I got the FPR 16 as a SQ, though that one made more sense to me because it's grind is unique to the FPR. But yeah, my FPR BK16 is sitting in a plastic bag in it's box, constantly taunting me to take it out and use it. It calls me a sissy and teases me with how nice it would be to just do some quick batonning, just to relieve some stress. She's an evil temptress.

yes she is

Is it to late to cancel your order, or to call them and ask if you can switch it up? If you really don't want the 17, there's a good home for it right here down south! :D

The FPR 16 is the only tweener different from their regular production versions in anything other than the signature and the roll stamp. the FPR 16 is a saber grind like the BK2, where as the RPR 16 is full flat like the larger neckers.

I tried calling who I ordered it from and talked to the "No Customer Service" department and they were "as advertised" quite worthless. That company has gone down hill badly in the last five years. My fault and I will like the BK17.

So my blade has the coating on the blade stripped and has been sharpened.

Does this affect the value?

Should I not use it or just use it and enjoy?
