Well then....how does one know it's the wrong tool for the job if one doesn't ask...or if one does ask and then gets nothing but a smartass remark from some worthless jerk-off know-it-all?
Goodness gracious. That's quite the personal attack. So are the ones peppered throughout the remainder of your post.
I stand by my suggestion in post #8 that a Tramontina would the tool most suited for the task you asked about in your OP. Since you seem to be so anxious for me to expand on my opinion I will be glad to, despite being called a "troll and coward." A machete like a Tramontina is light, long, and thin. All three you want when cutting brush. It's not a coincidence...it is what it is designed for. You are considering knives that are heavy, short, and thick, and are built for chopping thicker wood.
Now, as I said earlier, if you are intent to get either of the knives you mentioned, you certainly are welcome to. But, as your say, you wanted to know the correct tool for the job...and that's a machete.
Of course you are free to disagree, but by how quickly you went "personal" when I gave you my opinion, it would seem you know your answer to your question, or only are interested on one answer to your question, which makes one wonder "Why ask?"
But, of course certainly feel free to ask questions, and I will feel free to answer!
Enjoy your knife.
