Hey, great thread, great reviews. I am actually in the market for a good "survival" blade and have been considering the shb version. I am, though, wondering about ehhh's report of a bent or badly ground blade. Anybody else encountered this?
No! i really was impressed how well everything was done by just paying 50,00 euro.
I chopped hard dry wood and softer with no problems.
As a lefty i wish for a better sheath. But getting used to Kydex i am going to get my own done. Only thing is: Buying Kydex would destroy the great price performance ratio. In other words, i don´t want to spend the money.
Thanks, Blop. I have been trying to decide between this knife, the USMC and a CS ODA. Where I live I have to buy mail order, and this thread has really helped. Ka-bar SHB it is.

The widely-issued Cat. Q225 military knife of WWII was issued with a "left-handed" sheath, so righties cross-drew with the edge up - the approved technique of the day for "fighting knives." (They had not discovered the wonders of the evocative but undefined "tactical.")
