yep. Bought as an unfinished project (it only had the guard cemented to the shoulders), I did the handle, acid etch, blueing and sheath. Missed one shot:

sits flush at the pommel and covered with clear epoxy.
 
free hand. I did drawings on paper until I was satisfied, then covered the blade on both sides with an acid resistant ink, then scratched out the figures.

wish my bar was D2 but could justify the ex pence of it.

And zuluninja love Bowie bar style and guard. handle kills it for me though.
 
My Ka-Bar USMC with recently refurb'd handle. Had thus knife 11 years and it's been everywhere with me.

Always wanted one so bought this when we deployed.

Meant to say earlier that having a look through the pages here that there are some great Ka-Bars about, a real testament to a good design.
 
Batoned a bunch of wood for a fire with my new potbelly this last weekend. Worked like a charm....
