View attachment 810964 Bought a few Blades on Black Friday Sale for gifts and A Globetrotter for myself :D Feels Great  balance is right about the forward screw. Love the handle length ;)

Wish the black friday/cyber monday sales would have lasted longer than it did. Was planning on getting a bunch of stuff as xmas gifts but didn't have the cash til sale was over. Next year. Or hopefully there's an xmas sale. :DWill end up with a turok or globetrotter soon.

Thanks Tanker!
I only rehandled this as I didn't like the way the leather washers at the rear of the handle looked.
If you look close you can see the last two have been replaced.
On a new knife, the washers are ground small and don't "flow" or flare out into the pommel
like my older 90's version did.
I know this is only cosmetic, but it bugs me cos it looks and feels rubbish.
Not sure why Kabar cant or wont do them like they used to!

As the black spacer was too small to re-use,I used some spacer material I had left over from another job.
The colour combo is a copy of the Randall, but thinner than they use.
Also removed the coating as this is a user anyway, but left it on where not visable.eg tang and rear of guard etc.
The pommel is drilled all the way through and pinned like the milspec pieces.

Also added a slight choil as I don't like the recurve the blade had when new.
My goal was to personalize it a bit without taking too much away so its not recognizable as a Kabar.
