Thankyou very much, it was a great project to do, and worked out very well.
Being female with Tinkerbelle hands, the original was just too big, so I made this one to fit.

Figured it was time to give my long neglected BK7 some love, after living in my trunk for the past 5 or 6 years. Some fine grit sand paper, a cleaning and a little SuperBlue later, and here are the results. Now time to decide what scales I am going to get for it. My stripped BK15 is next.

Bought in 2003, this 1217 is still going strong. Removed the stacked leather pieces to add another layer after they shrank a bit from use.
Blackhawk! sheath still going strong.

With a bit of shiny stuff from above,(no eclipse down here) great time to do a few projects.
Today I used my D2 to whittle out a couple of chopsticks from a bit of 50 year old Red Ironbark fencepost.
The serration was used to round it down and did an excellent job.
This hardwood didn't faze the mighty D2 at all.

D2 knocking out some kindling for a late arvo cook-up.
Longer timber is Red Ironbark, the shorter stuff is Swamp Paperbark, both are excellent for coals.

A gift from my USMC best buddy. We go back a ways together - like 1971. This thing arrived sharp. I'm thinking it will become a much loved display piece. Still thinking about how best to do that. It will NOT be behind glass. Any suggestions?

In a stump is a decent alternative to behind glass. That, or with googly eyes on the handle while it appears to be doing a cartwheel.

I ordered a Vietnam era set of web gear - belt, suspenders, canteen and cup. I'll put the knife on it and it will be on the dresser top in my bedroom. Hope the wife will not think I'm being too corny about my old USMC days.

Love this pocket knife. It's perfect little ADHD fidgeters and it looks like a KA-BAR. I've never seen one in this configuration. I take it that the scales are Delrin.
