Figured it was time to give my long neglected BK7 some love, after living in my trunk for the past 5 or 6 years. Some fine grit sand paper, a cleaning and a little SuperBlue later, and here are the results. Now time to decide what scales I am going to get for it. My stripped BK15 is next.

With a bit of shiny stuff from above,(no eclipse down here) great time to do a few projects.
Today I used my D2 to whittle out a couple of chopsticks from a bit of 50 year old Red Ironbark fencepost.
The serration was used to round it down and did an excellent job.
This hardwood didn't faze the mighty D2 at all.

A gift from my USMC best buddy. We go back a ways together - like 1971. This thing arrived sharp. I'm thinking it will become a much loved display piece. Still thinking about how best to do that. It will NOT be behind glass. Any suggestions?

In a stump is a decent alternative to behind glass. That, or with googly eyes on the handle while it appears to be doing a cartwheel.

On your belt would be the obvious choice, ready for whatever adventure awaits.

I ordered a Vietnam era set of web gear - belt, suspenders, canteen and cup. I'll put the knife on it and it will be on the dresser top in my bedroom. Hope the wife will not think I'm being too corny about my old USMC days. 🥸
