okay ya lost me. in current regular production, not buck website special runs or dealer exclusives.....there is

1.)the classic standard 110 in brass 420hc and ebony wood.
2.) the automatic version of it^
3.)the 110 pro in nickel silver g10 and s30v.
4.)the automatic version of it^
5.)the 110 slim select in plastic and 420hc, pocket clip.
6.)the 110 slim pro in g10 or micarta and s30v. 7.)the 110lt in plastic and 420hc.

the 110lt is the cheapest one. I wouldn't call this one the standard one. id call the ebony and brass in 420hc the standard one and it isnt the cheapest named a 110. so which one?

If I had to choose between those two I'd go with the Corser. Bought a Buck 110 as the first "nicer" pocket knife I bought with my own money many years ago because of reading dozens of positive feedback on them as a quintessential knife only to realize I must just have entirely different taste and not swayed by a nostalgia attraction. It's big, it's bulky, you need two hands to open it, it weighs more than a standard boat anchor, and it doesn't perform well enough to justify all that IMO. If EDC is your goal and you want to be able to keep your pants up without a strong belt, the Corser seems like a more modern practical choice. If nostalgia carry is what you're chasing scale down to at least the 112 or squire.

Basically you are right
But Corser is an equivalent to plastic slim Buck, not wooden/brass one which cost twice of both

Best solution for me - don't buy neither :^)
I got way too much knives already ...
Just dreamin'

Personally, I had in the past 2 nos. Buck 110. Nice knife, comfy to use but on both knives, the tip broke on me. Yes I do admit that sometimes I do a little of prying with it but honestly, the tip strength is so-so compared to other designs out there. They are easy to sharpen and do get really sharp and they do look good with TLC. Therefore, I would still choose the Buck 110 but it does require some care in usage.

To be fair, OP said both were the same price so he is looking at the 110 Slim which a) does have a pocket clip (not a great one imo, too thick at the top) and b) it weighs only 2.8 oz.

If I had to chose between the two, I'd vote 110.

For a few extra dollars, I might actually get a https://www.bladehq.com/item--RUIKE-P801-Frame-Lock-Knife--60856
Well, his OP said the "standard", which I took to mean that belt-knife we all carried as kids when camping, not the modernized lighter version. I will say that I'm not a fan of the light version, and would go with the USSF over it. I own both knives, and the USSR just feels better put together. Oh! And the best part, the USSF is actually able to be taken apart, as it's not riveted together like the Bucks are.

In any case, if I had to stay in this sort of price range, I'd probably just get a RAT 2 and call it a day.

This. I feel like the slims and lightweights are, at best, a half hearted attempt at modernizing them. If they would have made the updated 110 and 112 models a screw-together design they wouldn't have so many issues with side to side play. I think the classic 110 is a piece of history and I wouldn't change it, but if you're going to update a design you'd be better off to put it together with modern fasteners.

I don't love the Corser, but with its modern features I'd choose it over the Buck.

So clearly the correct course of action is to get a standard Buck 110 (ebony scales) and just think and ponder over the Ka-Bar and Buck 110 Slim.

Or as alvays use Old Faithful Voyager 1st Gen :^)))

If you have to ask, you probably wouldn't appreciate the Buck 110, so it doesn't matter. Flip a coin. :)

Buck - since - everyone should have a Buck 110.

Besides, the Buck 110 has a real knife blade.

To say "I'm not a fan" of that other thing's blade style is a gross understatement. ;) I had a blade like that - once - and hated it, hated it a lot.

I asked for that
So received
And now I must dig much deeper in boxes and find all my Buckies !!!
If I good remember i own many of them but never, NEVER used even one :^O

I'm Very Cold Steeler :^D
