Kershaw Echo is even better IMHO.

I think the Buck handle is too slippery when guttin' a deer. The rubber on the Buck Vantage is much grippier.

Take some 400 sandpaper and rough up the micarta ahndle on the Buck and it will be fine then. I did that to my 102 woodsman and it fixed the slippery problem. Looks a bit better too.

I love my Buck 119, it's a great knife.
Can't say anything about the Kabar. Just wanted to let you know that my Buck 119 never disappointed me.

I would go with the Buck 119 myself or the Vanguard is a great buy on their site now also!

The 119, If you don't like the back gard its pretty easy to cut off.
