Beyond banning his account there's little we can do. Actually, nothing we can do.

I'll send a PM to him with a link to this conversation and ask him to refund you. If he doesn't, a ban is the only option open to us.

Yeah guys like that have an addiction and taking the hit to make you whole is a life-altering decision. I would assume he has washed his hands of this. He sounds like a con to me that’s trying to make excuses. If you have to keep after him for a refund attempt, he has already made up his mind. Even if his account is restored I would assume he would find some other excuse. “Oh I was going to refund you but.. my cousin’s neighbors cat had to go to the hospital and my car ran out of gas.”
 
He has a gold membership here. No reason he couldn't sell and raise funds here...except no one will deal with him now.

Not an ideal situation.
 
In regards to this happening on Reddit and not BF’s.

I sent a PM to the individual and invited Boru13 Boru13 to same. If he doesn't reply to me or this thread in a timely fashion, we'll dump his account, but unfortunately there is nothing else we can do.

I do encourage you to go after him civilly or criminally if need be.

I Appreciate that, thankyou for looking out for people... It is what it is, 9 years I been trading and modding knives for people, this is my first time getting ripped so I guess I'm counting the lucky stars.
 
If the knife doesn’t arrive, and you funded your F&F payment with a major credit card, you can file a dispute.

PayPal F&F abuse & PP in general, has been a been a real sore spot for some of us here, since way back last year when they played their Woke card. Please accept my apology for rubbing 'salt in the wound.'

I actually just finished reading the long PM history/link you shared here; which honestly made your situation much more personal, and left me feeling pretty bad for the rather bleak situation you're currently in.

And thank you for sharing your unfortunate situation, as well as for the warning regarding this member. I hope you consider giving BladeForums a shot moving forward. As you can see by the responses from our Moderator's, this is probably one of the best/safest places to spend your time enjoying this hobby. It's worked out well for me anyway.

KeeboManiac KeeboManiac < I hope that you take some time and do some deep introspection. How would you feel, if someone did this to you? It seems that your current situation in life appears to be very bleak at the moment....adding this to your already full plate, I can imagine will only make you feel, much worse. Once you've sacrificed your name/.dignity/self respect, those are core values that are sometimes impossible to ever get back. Please do the right thing.

I was just going to say this...EVERYONE would have sent him PPFF, so don't feel like that was your fault.. i meanv130+ swaps on reddit is a lot..

Ý I've never been scammed on reddit, just FB and it was my fault really...i was drunk for one, or atleast hsd a good bizz on and more importantly I didn't do enough digging on him, he was a known scammer and if I would have took 2more mins, looking him up I would have caught him...

99% of the scams I hear about are on Facebook. It happens everywhere but at least there are safeguards on the swap and here to try and slow it down.

I wouldn’t mind if blade forums had a rule similar to knife swap where you need 25 positive feedback before you can ask for anything other than PayPal GS.

Some of the worst thieves to hit BF have amassed a number of quick feedback scores before they struck
I still think G&S is a good idea although not perfect, but you are going to have to take it on yourself. The administration has made it pretty clear they don't want to regulate for PP
