Keeping a knife in your car

I have a Machete and a Mora in the Trunk of my care. Plus I have 3-4 on me so yes I got some in my ride.

The first two stay in my Honda a Victronox Swiss Champ and a Hess Pioneer the G L Drew clip point stays in the CTS.

I keep a Scrapyard 911 under my driver's seat, Emerson CQC-15 & Leatherman in glove box, Victorinox Explorer in the center console.

I keep them in the 4Runner as utility for whatever need may arise. Each has come in handy.

I keep a leatherman, a folder around the ash tray area, a small fixed blade, and most times a machete

I keep a couple of well used beater fixed blades somewhere behind the bench seat of the pickup. Never had to use them as there's always something on my belt that is better and easier to access. Having said that I should dig them up and check them for rust even though I ground them from 440C long ago.

I keep an older 154CM Leatherman Wave in my 4Runner. I've used it a handful of times for 'things that have come up'.

I'm almost always carrying a knife on me personally and a 1911 Commander or Glock 19.

The dedicated Leatherman is for repair, adjusting or fixing something.

Absolutely. I work 42 miles from home. A ZT0300 in the center console, Busse TGLB in my Emergency Bag, SRKW Waki and KDSH locked up in the cargo area.

always. Sebenza/SAK combo on me at all times, whatever large fixed I grab that day for the EDC bag, and malanika puukko. also a Glock 23 in same EDC bag.

Cheap folder next to driver's seat, Wenger SAK and cheap multitool in glove compartment, fiskars folding saw in the "trunk" area. Won't hurt so much if someone steals them or they get damaged. Better knives on my person, Vic Swisstool RS in my bag. :)

I used to keep a Leatherman Wave in my glovebox, but someone broke into my car years ago and stole it. I drive a different car now, but I've never left another multi-tool or knife in my car since. I figure if some scumbag does that, I will not gift them a multi-tool or ANY type of knife. Whatever knives I have in my car are the ones I carry on me.

Jim

I have a Mora in the first aid kit, a BK9 under the back seat, and a SAK in the console. I always carry a multitool and an Endura on me.

Leatherman wave and a flashlight always in the truck. Always a knife in my pocket too so that's makes 2 when I'm in the truck!

"punch out my window by making a hole to get a weak spot"

I frankly don't know how one does that. The glass is harder than the steel. All that said, there are various "rescue" knives on the market that have a carbide point for window-breaking, a blade of course for the belt. I have a Spyderco ASSIST which is very good, and my CRK Umnumzaan also has a carbide punch on one end for that same purpose.

You stab the window really hard. I know it works from the outside, at least. I say this from experience

I've got 3 in the truck. Always one in the pocket. Couple in my bag. They just accumulate and I forget to take them out.
Lol u always have several knives on you, and a tactical spinning top just for good measure.
I personally always have a knife on me and have used them in accidents I've witnessed before. Super handy to have. Most people don't know that many seat belts are designed to completely lock up after an accident and won't operate afterwards. I also keep an EOD breaching/pry bar in the trunk too. Never know when you might need one. Especially out here in earthquake country (aka California)
