On an impulse buy, I ordered two of the not-so-famed Travel Wrenches, one for a friend's birthday and one for, of course, myself.

I ordered 11/5/09, and aside from an automated e-mail, not a peep since 11/10/09. I'm pretty sure I have nothing to worry about, but has anyone else ordered directly from Mr. Worden? How long did it usually take? Or, did I just get lured into the most fantastic cross-web scam known to man?

A friend of mine ordered a few of those travel wrenches with zero problems, that was a few years a go though.

"THIS IS THE MOST REASONABLY PRICED PERSONAL PROTECTION SYSTEM ON THE MARKET TODAY!!!"

...Huh???...What is this???

*Looks* like an L-shaped wrench...Just how does it protect you???

It's a kerambit style impact tool, they work ok but the Aluminium Terrani trainers are better IMO.

Worden's site indicates that he was doing a seminar this past weekend. I was curious to see how current his site is, since a lot of them are not updated often.

I can tell you from experience that if you're doing a seminar or other project, it can really get in the way unfortunately for a few days pre- and post-event. Give them a call, you should be fine.

Just an FYI - I've never met Kelly Worden and am not a student or friend, just been around this business long enough to know it rolls this way at times.

Haha, yeah, it just looked too interesting to not buy. Plus, I have a buddy who loves unique impact weapons.

That would make sense. Thanks for telling me. I think I can wait on it a bit.

I don't think you have to worry at all about being scammed.
I thought as much. :D Here's to hoping he gets to be soon; the birthday is in about a week.

Hi Azraell (and others),

You have nothing to worry about. I ordered some only a few weeks ago, and they arrived promptly. Mr Worden is a very busy man, though, so give him a couple of days to get to your email.

To the uninformed / untrained eye, the wrenches may not look like much ... and that's part of the point. To really understand the thinking that has gone into the design - and how such a simple tool can be used in so many ways, and across the force continuum - you really need to also get the booklet and DVD that Mr Worden offers. Even without using the wrenches, these are a pretty good stand-alone introduction to the strategy and tactics of realistic self-defense. BTW, I'm not a student or aquaintance, just a satisfied customer. Hope that helps!

Just got them today. They are surprisingly sturdy things, especially for the price I paid ($10 for two.)

Yes, that's me!...Go on!... :D
Oh, sure!!! Just like that POS John Scherrer and his "free dvds" on TV... :(
I can't get those people off my phone line now... :grumpy:
Aw, there there. :D

So anyways guys, Mr. Worden shipped these out very quickly. I never got a tracking number, but that's quite fine. That is remarkably quick for a man who also has seminars to do.
There was a DVD in here, too, which I'll watch out of courtesy.
