I have reached 1000 posts without getting banned or infracted:eek: so here is my way of celebrating!

Here are the rules, simple but important.
MUST be a regular contributor here in Traditional's.(Minimum 75 posts,by the time I pick a winner, your on your honor)I consider this place family so this is the reason for this rule.

MUST include a recent OUTDOOR picture of yourself , with a slipjoint somewhere in the picture.

MUST only post once

I will let this run for approximately 1 1/2 weeks.(may give someone time to reach that 75 post rule).I will then random draw a winner.

I will cover mailing costs.

Here is whats being given away.

This is a liner-less G10 shadow pattern made on my 3 1/2 EDC. Ats-34 flat ground blade and spring. Contoured G10 frame,I wanted to try something a bit different. The G10 is green/black. Really feels secure in-hand. Standard nail pull. Can be plucked with strong thumb and fingers. Nice and smooth. 1 1/4 oz.

Greatest giveaway to date!! What an honor to win one of your knives!
This is me, trying to shorten these darn drumsticks, so I can carry them in my pocket.
Hawkdisplay045.jpg

I am wearing this nice hat that Lee Grogan sent me, just because I live in Canada, to ward off the continuous deepfreeze temperatures here in the Great White North!! Kinda makes you carry your tongue in your cheek!! BRRRRRR!!!
Thanks Ken, for a really great giveaway!!

Being an intrepid American, I had to find a way to get around Ken's rule of only posting once!
Simple really; there are no restrictions on editing!!
Ford, I like your business model! Low overhead, unless you run afoul of traffic (more than the usual odors I mean), and great variety for the consumer.
As usual, I always admire your photoshirt. . . . uhhh. . .photoshop skills!! Just a few wrinkles to iron out. I was worried about how you were going to fold that knife, until I saw the shirt!

Growing her own food, and a 30 knife collection!! That girl is off to a good start in this world!!
Cute to boot! Nice going Roland!!

If you are going to clean battery terminals, you may as well use stainless steel, Anthony!
Nice knife, but a GRRRRRRREAT truck!!
Campbell, I am glad that knife is not folding on you!! How, pray tell, did you get into that predicament??? Not sticking another knife into that pole by any chance??

Wow! What a generous giveaway and a great chance to own an Erickson custom.

Here's a shot of me getting ready to go roadkill hunting for my gourmet RPBM Springtime Roadkill Jerky sampler baskets. Always a big event in fewpopville. :D

Thanks Ken, hope you're still here for post 10,000.

Ken, that's gotta be the mother load of all giveaways.

Hell, it's so tempting that it actually enticed me away from the moldering, lice-infested heap of damp straw I call my home and out into the terrible light of day for a seemingly endless moment before diving back into the safety of my lair. Here I am brandishing my Ken Coats toothpick.

Thanks for the chance!

I am enjoying the posts thus far, as much as I enjoyed making the knife!

Rick,
I like your way with words!

Ford,
Wonderful photoshopping skills:thumbup:

Charlie,
What can I say:D

Vince,
Thanks on the G10, I really think it looks better in person than the photo's convey

Ken

Well i dunno if i have 75 posts in this forum, but 3 years, a little over 3000 posts AND i'm a 'Traditional' guy, AND a BIG fan of Ken and his folders, so probably. if anybody wants to maybe increase their odds, they can count 'em !
Now the picture part IS a problem. as a long time single guy there's nobody around to take MY picture. so i'm submitting a pic that's 1/2 me, in the garden, with her Case Tiny Trapper in 6.5 Bonestag. ya, it's bending the rules, but Charlie started it !

i'll accept disqualification, but at least i got to show off my little girl (who has her own collection of about 30 knives which she cleans at least once a week !)

finally had a friend by so got this pic today with myself, Isabella & Whitey. we're planting out Walnut seedlings that had come up in the main garden thanks to industrious squirrels, although tree in this pic is a Horse Chestnut. knife is 'old faithful', an Eye Brand 99S-DS, 4 5/8" 2 blade sodbuster style with 2ndary being a saw blade. excellent knife !

now i'm eligible, sure hope i win !
thanks Ken, roland

Ken,

First off, Congrats on the 1K post count which by the way includes some of thee most enjoyable threads and posts in Traditional here in recent years. I especially look forward to your 'step-by-step crafting of hand made slip joint knives'.. Absolutely legendary threads to be sure!

Secondly, I would be most pleased and honored to participate in your contest drawing here with such a finely executed & stunning knife as the prize!!

And third, Just some really Great Pix and really enjoying them all from the gang thus far!. :D.. I reckon my ugly-mug will be added tomorrow here in this post as well...

EDIT TO ADD 4/10: A very important pocket knife I am seldom without, my trusty ole S&M 'Queen Cut. Co.' Harness Jack Tear Drop pattern with her million & one uses.. The punch blade I've found is an engineering marvel and a must have around town & country.. If I recall correctly, my pal Waynorth was responsible for the commissioning and revival of this fine century old design much to the the gratitude of more than just a few of us around here.

Thanks Ken, not only for the generous contest but also for all that you contribute to this sub forum.

Fishing last summer. I'm using my T.Bose shadow backpocket, which my brother managed to misplace for the better part of an afternoon the first day before I finally found it on the wheel well of his truck bed.

I hope when Ken sees this, he doesn't cross my name off his list for a cattle knife someday! Here I am in Micky Mouse outfit, with Schrade Cutco and my panfish fillet knife. I wish I could have arranged to show some of our great Big Horn Mountains scenery, but this caught me at an inconvenient time. Hope all of you out there are enjoying this wonderful SPRING!

Would'nt it figure that my 1,000th actual post would be on another members 1,000 post giveaway? Thats gotta mean something good! Ha. :D
Thanks Ken for all the great forum support and eye candy you've posted over the years. Hopefully I'll own one of your beautiful knives someday...

Here I am. My friends and I went camping for spring break. Was a blast. My friend and I were cooking burgers made with some weird sauce. Tasted great. Used just slipjoints the whole trip. Even taught my friends how to sharpen knives. My main knife was my new at the time 1978 Case 6392 which you can see in the picture. Great knife. Thanks for the chance in this giveaway Ken. You make excellent knives and whoever wins this will get a great knife. I hope its me :p Keep up the good work and hope your around here for 1000's of posts more. I'm the guy in red with the knife. I thought it was freezing but to be fair I am from the south of Florida, not north Mississippi.

And I think I'm the baby of the group. I have ya'll beat so far me thinks.

Nice job Ken. Congrats and thanks for the contest.

Glad I had my trusty United pilots survival knife with me. That fall would have been a doozy ;)

Anthony,
Looks like a Remington rifle?(this is a test , seeing if you will break the one post only rule, LOL) Pretty cool Chevy!

Comoha
I am honored your posting your 1000th in this thread. Congrats!

Kamagong,
Warms my heart to see youth have an interest in these old knives.

crbauhs
I think its great you guys went camping on spring break instead of getting drunk falling off motel railings on some island:thumbup:

Campbell,
I have to put you in the same category as Charlie(waynorth) WHAT CAN I SAY!;) Hmmmm, I think I remember the same trick watching the batman tv series

Ken - congrats on the milestone! And thanks for all you do to educate us knuckleheads!

They say you can get water out of these things!
My T Bose ivory zulu spear can't seem to find any!
This was today, early April in the desert - a little over 80 degrees out!
