Real nice blades on that one, Ken! And there is no more beautiful bone anywhere!!
Nice lively color and jig pattern!

That trapper and the WT that Blues added to the stable are stunning! Thanks for posting both of them guys.

Great looking knife!

Okay thought I would drop a picture of the 1st Erickson I got. It was a couple of years ago that I talked with Ken about an amber dyed single blade trapper. I explained the size I wanted and Ken said something like I think I can do that. Well the knife arrived shortly after that and to say I was pleased is an understatement. Well as luck would have it I know an engraver and arranged for him to scratch the bolsters a little bit. Well after he did his magic I had the perfect EDC knife in my opinion. It does get carried probably 75% of the time.

I have another Stag handled Trapper that Ken made me a little later on, I just dont have any decent pictures of it. I'll work on that when time permits...

Wow! That is a beauty! The engraving gives it a great touch like that tooled leather underneath.

BTW, welcome to the traditional forum!

A while back I was asked to make a 3 blade lockback whittler based on the Bose/Case pattern but with a much different blade selection. Tony Bose was very kind in sending me the pattern and then I went to work changing things up:eek:. My customer wanted a wharncliffe master instead of the clip blade. The blade steel on this knife is CPM154cm. I ran into trouble finding the correct thickness stock for the master blade. Charles Vestal, knife maker and forum member came to my aid and sent me a small piece. Thanks Charles! I must admit I think this was a great choice. The wharncliffe really flows off this frame nicely. My customer also chose a small clip and a small sheepsfoot secondary. I was able to procure some very nice ivory and was asked to delete the shield. I think also a good choice as there is a lot going on with a lockback whittler visually. I also wanted to thank Tony for the pattern and my customer for having the faith in me to pull this one off. :thumbup: I hope I will not disappoint.

I'm not the customer but if I were I'd be grinning right about now!

Well done, Ken! :thumbup::cool:

(That must have been an interesting challenge to say the least!)

Wonderful choice of blades IMO, and a great execution.
Everything about it is superior!!!
Great knife, Ken!

Great job Ken. Saw a few WIP shots of this a few weeks ago. I think your customer is floating on cloud nine about now.
