What finish is the handle at? Just an opnion and i'm just trying to help if i can. The handle in the picture looks unfinished, maybe its great in person i dont know. you could try wetting it down with some water or a light oil. I made some handle material like that a few years back. and the onley way i could get it to look premo and pop was to sand it to like 600 grit and then give it a coat of supper glue and resand and recoat and resand and so forth. then when it was all nice i gave it a buff on my buffer and it just looked like glass and the material really looked good. I'm not sure what look you where going for, it's just some frendley comments.
