I like the look and A2 is great stuff. I wonder why we don't see it used more often.

I love all of Kerry's knives! But those etched
A2 blades are just awesome! Just takes the knife
to another level!! Great looking "LC" ;)

It is good stuff....but how many slip joint makers are making knives with carbon steel blades? There are some but I see mostly 1095 or near-stainless D2. The stainless just stays purrrrrrty so much longer... :p

Stainless looks purty, but I still prefer carbon steel in my custom slip joints. In a way I'm lucky, because if more custom slip joint makers used carbon steel, my budget would be really shot.

You and me both... :D

When I said stainless stays "purrrrrrty" I didn't mean to imply that I preferred stainless over carbon steel...because I do not. :p

Kerry,

That Lannys Clip is the Cats meow! I really like the look of the acid etching on the blade. You would think that a few more makers would jump on this- as I think that it really adds to the overall package! Great swedge work, and with that clip--I bet that it really cuts!--Even more that a finger! :D  The rat-tailed bolster was the final touch that really added to this LC! ;)

The photos DO.. Do it Justice! :p
