Kerry Hampton Knives

Mighty fine, Kerry! The details look real nice, and the Ivory is wonderfully toned!

Is the lucky recipient a Father by any chance??

Those bolsters SHINE!

I have made a few Barlows but this is the prototype clip blade. I looked through Tony's old barlows and found a Challenge Cut. Co. Barlow with a drawn swedge that I like and fashioned mine after it. It appeared that most of the old Barlows had cut swedges on the clip and I wanted this one to be a bit different.

Actually this isn't my first clip blade Barlow...I wasn't happy with the first one. It wasn't good enough for a customer but it was good enough for Tony Bose so it's in his pocket. :D This one turned out a lot better and it's owned. ;)

Not sure about before but he certainly is a new father now, if you catch my drift. ;)

Thanks for all the "ooohs and ahhhs", friends.

That is nothing short of fantastic.

Jason told me that I had to come in here and check this one out...He was right! That's a real beauty, Kerry!! Someone's going to be very happy with that Barlow. :)

These are some of the best looking knives I have ever seen! I am not normally a fan of barlows but that one looks amazing

I broke a pinkie swear to myself that I would never, ever make another 3" or under knife. Proof once again that you should never say never. Anywho, this turned out well enough that I felt like showing it off a little bit. In true WilfredWorks style, this little guy is sporting a Wharncliffe pen. The blades are ATS-34 and ground on Tony's 20" grinder. This is actually the second master blade that I made for this knife as the first one was ground on the 14" and became way too whippy thin.

And, as always, this one already has a home.👍

The pinch and Wharncliffe blade were requests from the customer...both great ideas. That bolster shape was not very easy to pinch though and the size of the knife made pinching a touchy proposition.

Thanks for the kudos fellas :)
