Kerry Hampton Knives

Lookin' good, Kerry. Congrats on taking the next big step!

That is a heck of a good lookin' group o' busters.
Sweet work Kerry.

Nice set of Busters! Tough to pick a fave, but the maker-jigged bone is the front runner!
Did you make them all at once, Kerry, doing a step on each as you rolled along??

Khnutbusters 8, 10, & 11. #8 has brown bone that I dyed and jigged(first bone Khnutbuster), #10 is green canvas Micarta, #11 is hunter orange fibermascus. All of the knives are made with D2 blades and springs. Also, these are the first Khutbusters I have put shields in.

Yessir I did make them all together. I got a wild hair one day and ground 5 sets of Khnutbuster blades and springs, so I had them ready to be used. I then got the blades finish ground and cleaned up the springs on all sets and basically kept those 3 together during the building process. It seemed to go faster doing it that way.

Shelia...I can say one thing....IT IS AMAZING!!!! The ebony is WONDERFUL and the heart shield is one of a kind. What a great combo!

It's hard to pick a favorite...every Khnutbuster has been FANTASTIC!
Your Heart Shield set in that pretty Ebony really stands out...
Hair poppin' D-2...WHAT A NICE PACKAGE!
Great pictures!!!
OUR KERRY ROCKS!!

That hand cut shield will never be duplicated . . exactly!! What a treasure that makes for the user. A very special piece! Congratulations Mr. Knifemaker!! And to the lucky owner!

Sir , you have taken that pattern of knife to whole new level.

That bone one is beyond words. Your attention to fit & finish is something to be darn proud of.

I can see why those that own one of your knives speak so highly of them.

Kerry is the ebony shield, the "weeping heart" from the old west? Very cool!:D

I wish I knew that before I did it because I could have used that in the post to make me sound all smart and stuff. :)

A symmetrical heart is harder to make than this free form "weeping heart". I made the heart so that it would set centered between the pivot and center pin and also so that the point of the heart points to the center pin. There is a nice visual flow. Oh geesh...that's kinda gay. :o:p:D

(nice visual flow...uhhuh...very much unlike my disgusting avatar, which I will be retiring soon)
