Gotta love that ebony. And the shield is a nice touch, too.

Why did you make the nailnick in the greeny larger than the other 2? just curious.

Khnutbusters 8, 10, & 11. #8 has brown bone that I dyed and jigged(first bone Khnutbuster), #10 is green canvas Micarta, #11 is hunter orange fibermascus. All of the knives are made with D2 blades and springs. Also, these are the first Khutbusters I have put shields in.

Way to go CNASTY pointing out all my flaws...thanks a lot. :D

Actually, that knife is going to someone with BIG FINGER NAILS! I take nail imprints of all my customers so that they fit perfectly.

I made that last part up about the big finger nails. :)

What it amounts to is how deep the nick gets cut before the knife is ever ground. I probably just went about .009" deeper on that one.

Kerry, I just wanted to echo what others are saying here, and that is that it is a real pleasure to view your work.

I feel especially privileged to have been a part of this fine forum for the last few years, and to have had the opportunity to view your exceptional talent come into bloom. One of the best traditions that this great nation needs to preserve is the developmental process of artisans and craftsmen through the apprentice/teacher model. It's sad to see that process declining in many trades in our culture over the last several decades. It's encouraging to see that process nurtured and valued by the knifemakers we value here. My hats off to you.

Man I cant wait till my name comes up.. I think i know what I want then I see something else that I really dig.. All three of those look really good..

Hey Kerry.....just looking at your avatar.....I would sure hate to see the kinda nail nick you would have to put on a knife you carry! :(

Good luck with that! He He :D

AK-7 You couldn't trim that with a pocket knife, even with Jack the Giant Killer's knife...

Isn't that the truth! I am just glad his avatar is not a picture of his toe nail....they are always way worse than the finger nails. :D

Kerry, I think it's about time for a new avatar.....I know Mike Robuck drastically improved his avatar recently. You guys on here crack me up!

Here in Indiana, we use our FINGER NAIL to open pocket knives. I guess there in KY you's guys do things a little bit different.:p

Oh and BTW...that's just an avatar...DUH! :D

I actually like the way the deeper knice looks. Let's keep that in mind KDawg when we are working up my super duper spectatular knife we've been talkin about. Oh yea! ;)

For those of you who don't know Kerry Hampton, let me tell you all a little something about him. First of all he is a great friend and second of all he is an amazing knife maker. I headed up to the Wilfred Works this weekend for a visit, and after a quick tour, Kerry handed me a knife. Knowing that I love hearts and ebony, he made this knife (kinda girly) just for me. This knife will be my EDC. I can't even begin to describe how great it feels and how nice is rides in the pocket. Just as soon as I can get some pics taken, I will post them. But until then, I will post a couple that Kerry took. Thank you again Kerry…..there is no need for a White Christmas this year….my ebony will do!
