Kerry, You are making some awesome slipjoints dude. Would you teach me how? I have one of Tonys tutorials on my Favorites but there are some details not there. The bushing and liner thicknesses etc.

Good grief Bruce...do I have to teach you EVERYTHING! LMAO!!!![]()
Thanks for pointing out the tutorial bugs. I have a few more completed knives under my belt now(actually all of them) since Tony and I worked on those tutorials. That experience will be helpful as I go completely thru them and tweak as needed.
For the regular TF&FB homies that don't get outside of this forum much, Bruce makes some ultra cool working pistol/knife pieces that are real works of art. I really loved this WIP thread he did. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=552759&highlight=work+progress
Bruce, you might want to check out Kerry's "Learning how to make a slip joint" where he goes thru his first one with Tony: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=441633 -- lots of details in there. Also, in addition to the Bose Backpocket tutorial: http://boseknives.com/backpocket-construction/ there is also one of doing the pivot bushings: http://boseknives.com/pvtbushing/ and one of doing the liner milling: http://boseknives.com/liner-milling/ (and even on setting the lanyard tube Tony style: http://boseknives.com/lanyard-tube/ ).
Just FYI: normal liner thickness is 0.040" (410SS); bushings are 3/16" OD, 3/32" ID and lapped to 0.001" over the blade tang thickness.

I heard via the grapevine that his first capped bolster knife was in the works.Jim, just his first ivory five-blade Rodgers whittler. Whoops, did I just type that? Never mind...
There, I fixed it for you.If Kerry brings a capped bolster knife to Blade, he better wear a helmet. I might just loose control, bop him over the head, leave cash in his pocket and walk away. Lord knows the boy can not afford any more brain damage from that.
Is there a "one stop shopping" place to buy the steel and pins? I'm having trouble locating the 410 ss and the matching pins in the correct sizes. Also is the 316 ss available from a welding supply? I cant see it listed anywhere. Am I a pain yet?
I heard via the grapevine that his first capped bolster knife was in the works. Was wondering if it was making it to Blade.

Can't help with the steel and pins Bruce, but if you want a customer, put me down for a few, if you get into slipjoints. I will see you at Blade and introduce you to some folks.
