Kerry Hampton Knives

Thanks for showing the pic, Campbell! Very, very nice
And on any of Kerry's knives??

Kerry made this in November 2007. It's been an experience watching him grow as a maker these past few years, he's stepped up his game big time both with his knives and leatherwork.

The drop point was suppose to be a Bose drop point but I muffed the edge profile. I think I got the blade too thin so had to make "adjustments".

The leather work looks bad because I tried using a sewing awl with the thread that came with it...bad idea. Thank God for growth and improvement. ;)

I make fixed blades when I want to take a rest and do something easy :D Thanks for dragging up the old stuff. LOL 3 years is old for me!

Finally got to a computer where I could upload some photos from my i-Phone and try to share them here. Love this knife. I've even gotten brave enough to carry it the last few days although I'm still resisting taking it to work. I don't care if I lose my Endura in the back of a semi but I'd be pretty hard to live with if I lost this one by being "careless".

On with the show:

Admiring the knife...

Looks like a peanut in my meathooks but I assure you it is a 4.5" knife!

The next time I have to remember to have Kerry put the shield on the other side so y'all can tell that it's left handed too!

Thanks, Kerry, for a wonderful knife!

Solingen, Toledo, Sakai, Laguiole, Sheffield... Good knives from those places. But the best knives are from Terre Haute and thereabouts. Wilfred Works rocks the world.

Holy Schmokes I thought I had big hands. :) I'm glad you like it and thanks for sharing the pix.

I'm thinking it might be because they don't change their clocks.

People that think they are smarter than the rest of us started making us change our clocks a couple of years ago so we can't use that excuse. :p

I didn't realize that. I was in Indianapolis for a few days about 15 years ago and it happened to be during the weekend that DST changed in the spring. When I got home to Virginia I didn't know what time it was.

Whatever it is you do, maybe you, Tony and Reese should go give a few pointers to the Colts about how to not choke when it's important.
