Kershaw 1077 Camp 10 Pics

Derek, I am intimately familiar with the hardware on that sheath - I just misunderstood what you were saying at first. That is correct, the snap and the strap cannot be switched. I'm not sure why you would want to? The strap is reversible for left hand carry. I will have to talk to the factory and ask them to use a little less loctite on the screws.

If it were reversed, when unsnapped the retention strap would not be hanging near the blade edge where it might be cut. That was my thinking there.

Derek, I thought the same thing when I saw the way the retention strap was attached.

I'm happy knowing that Jim is a lefty, so we get some consideration with things like this. I really would LOVE to get one of these, I've been looking for a nice chopper, and on the fence about dropping the coin on something else.

1000 times yes.
Love the look of this one, been looking forward to its release since I first heard of it.

It's now officially on the "to buy" list.

Here are some more pics from yesterday.

mine should be here today or tomorrow...cant wait now:-)

Thanks for the pics.
I'm gonna buy this knife. It will be the fine companion to my nepalese khukris and the BK-7. :)

Please do. I always almost strip my pocket clip screws. Anywhoo. Looks bad***. was never really into these kind of knives, but for $40, I might get one for s**ts and giggles.

Mine is on the way as well. bad_juju seems to like it as well, I can't wait to baton through some electronics with it... Wait what? :D

They look like potential users to me. I know 1065 is no super steel, but is a reliable choice for machetes and other choppers. At the price they are, I'd kinda like to have one to toss in the truck for a beater. I'm digging the blade profile as well, it's not too extreme, but definitely interesting and useful for chopping. Would love to see more photos of it in action in the future.

We gave it some hard use on Sunday on a piece of incredibly hard oak. It held it's own very nicely, and is definitely a worthwhile investment. I love the styling as more of a modern interpretation of a khukri, and it is now my go to big outdoors knife. My previous big knife was, well, no where near as good, and at least twice as heavy, and I think about six times as much money. The rubber handles make for great shock absorption when doing heavy hitting. Only negatives I have see are an uneven primary grind (if that sort of thing even bothers you) and a lackluster factory edge, but for $40, none of those are even concerns in my book. I may have talked a few others into picking these up here locally after they got their hands on it.

were in the world did you get it? I actually was looking for a place online that is selling it when I came across this thread.

Nice pics.
I just picked one up as well.
Love the look and feel but I thought there was going to be 3 screws holding the grip and an exposed tang pommel.
What is up with the change?
The sheath is a throw-away. Totally rattles. Not a snug enough fit.
But all in all the knife is great for the price. Bits pretty deep and I am glad the edge is not super thick like the Outcast.
But I wish it had a nice sheath like the Outcast.
Get rid of the straps and add a tech-lock.
I really think Kershaw is on the right track with this one.
Great job so far. Keep it coming.

I got the Camp 10 yesterday...and it's fantastic. A joy to hold. I really can't believe it's under $40.

I also got mine earlier this week. AMAZING!! Cant wait to put the steel through some paces...gotta heal up first though;-)
