Kershaw 1760BLBW Skyline coming soon

Can't believe I missed this one! I thought I added it to my wishlist/e-mail when available, but I messed up.

Jacob:
First let me say that I appreciate your sharing the information on the Skyline 1760BLBW with the members of the Bladeforums.com. When I saw your first post on 12-30-13 (07-19 PM), I immediately went to the BladeHQ website via my account, and requested an email when this knife was available. I received a reply saying that it had been put on my "wishlist", and I would receive an email when they were first available. I kept checking your postings, and noted that you indicated on 01-02-14 that you expected delivery on Monday, January 6th. I kept checking my email several times a day and on 01-08-14, at 7:30AM, checked back on Bladeforums.com, only to see your posting of 01-03-14 that the knives had arrived early that day, ahead of schedule, and not to hesitate if I was looking to snag one, as they should go quick. Then I noted other postings indicating other members had gotten theirs, etc. I immediately went to the BladeHQ website and the knife was still marked out of stock. I sent an email to Customer Service at BladeHQ asking "Have these knives arrived yet? You said I would receive an email when they were available. There are several postings on Bladeforums.com from members saying they've already ordered theirs. Whats the story?" I received a reply from Marie McNeill saying "Hi, I'm sorry if you didn't get an email saying these knives were available and in stock. These knives came in stock on the 3rd of January, but unfortunately they are now out of stock. This was a limited edition so we are not expecting more. I apologize for the inconvenience! Regards, Marie McNeill"
Jacob, I realize "the cows are long since out of the barn" but what could I have done differently? I have been a customer of BladeHQ for quite some time and to not even receive an email, after being told that "you will be notified as soon as they are available"... I don't know of anything I could have done differently, especially after being told that this (knife) has been put on my "wishlist" and I will receive an email when they are first available. What else could I have done? Or, what could I have done differently? I would appreciate any feedback you could provide me, as to what to do differently next time...if there is a next time. Thank you for your time in this matter.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for the message. First off, I apologize you missed out on the knife.

The reason we have the "email me" feature on our site is to better inform customers of new shipments and knives that have a lot of demand or interest. This is the only feasible way for us to keep track of each person interested, and give everyone a fair chance at getting a knife. We even limited the knife to one per customer, so as many people as possible would have a chance. The knives did come in early, so we sent out an email to all those who had signed up on the "email me" list, right before the knives were even entered in stock. If you did sign up, you should have received an email, as we did not hear of any other instances from those that signed up that did not receive an email. It is possible the email was marked as spam. Despite our best efforts, issues occasionally arise and we are unable to fulfill everyone's request.

Please send me an email at questions@bladehq.com, marked "ATTN: Jacob" and I will do my best to make this right. We do appreciate the support and your gracious post.

Regards,

Jacob

Same here. I never received an email and was very surprised to see people posting about them here.
