Finally! It feels like kershaw is trying to offer a product that fills the gap between the budget USA series and the zt line. Im so ready to get one of these in hand, everything about it looks great. I really hope this sells as well as I think it will and maybe we will get some more handle options (some CF or g10 would be awesome with the subframe lock.) Maybe even some different steels although I LOVE kershaws sandvick steels.
Im so glad they moved away from the assisted opening knives for 2018, and even better offering a USA made knife with bearings for around a $70 street price. It is just an improved zt 0770 basically IMO but for almost half the price.

I personally am pumped for this guy (though I just noticed it lacks a lanyard hole which is hit for me), and think it will be a great value and look/feel like a much more expensive knife, but what do you guys think? I aint seen much talk about it so far but I know it is kind of old news now.

PS-I refuse to call it the bareknuckle... terrible name... I hope cold steel is not in charge of product names now lol

I have a Link in M390 that I'm currently loving. Assisted opening doesn't bother me in this knife with that kick ass steel.
The above knife looks nice though. Almost reminds me of the Launch 7 handle style which is very comfortable in the hand ;)

Bareknuckle is perhaps appropriate for this knife. To compare it to the great 0770CF is awfully unfair, IMO.
I have a ZT 0770CF in the limited M390 edition, and it is a joy to hold this quite expensive folder...about 4x the expense of the 7777.
There are Kershaw models that I like, but this is a wolf in sheep's clothing...
Aluminum scales are nasty to hold onto...I don't know why...they just feel...nasty. Titanium feels like gold.
The blade-length of this 14c28N knife is nice...at 3.5" and it may deploy just fine without the assist. IDK.
I would be happy to try one in a shop, but suspect I would be reluctant to take one home.

It's not bad at all. But I rather have a production ZT 0777 myself. :)

This is also the knife I'm most excited for, and the first Kershaw I've wanted for years.
It's a little bigger than I usually carry, but:
the blade shape is perfect for me, I really like 14C28N, and it's not Speedsafe.
I'm getting one.

I hope this knife sells well , I would like to see more USA knives with decent mid-range steels for under $100.

Titanium feels like gold.

Haha. No it doesn't.

Wish there was a different handle material. I will likely pick one up just to try it out or wait and see if they come out with any variants.

I'd be all over it with some G10 handles, don't care for Aluminum.

+1. I'm not a fan of metal handled knives. The way things are going the last few years, I've saved a bunch of $.

I picked Wait and See in case a G10 version comes out.

For jail release cal 7 7 7 - 7 7 7 7

Sorry had to.

This is one of my favorite kershaw offerings in recent years! I'll most likely pick one up.

I will most likely get this so I'm not tempted to use my original 777. I wish the copper one was this size

I think they did a really good job with this one and I expect it will sell really well, but it probably won't make the cut for me. I don't often carry folders this size, so as cool as it is I'll likely give it a miss. The Natrix XS, though, is a must buy for me.

It's the closest thing to an unassisted 0770 that I'm going to get, and I like aluminum handles. Should make for a fun low/mid range knife, like the kind that you loan to people who ask you for a knife. I'm excited and I've had it on pre-order since it was announced.

It has some things that put me more on the fence about owning one but I will say it is a lot closer to the type of knife I would buy compared to much of their line in recent years.

not a fan of aluminum either. I like the blur in al but even so the finish starts to wear. great for the money though. I'll wait and see.think its great for a Kershaw USA knife though.

hopefully a vendor will so a sprint in s30v, s35vn or m390 eventually but sandvik is great for the cost.
