Kershaw cryo

For the most part, no. Every model except the Cryo G10 has virtually zero grip, and the original is excessively heavy for it's small size. If you like the small size, go for the G10. If you want larger (like I did) go for the Thermite.

I guess I'm the exception. Had it and gave it away. I could not get the blade centered no matter how hard I tried. I spent more time adjusting and taking that thing apart to try to center the blade. It was a pain. I also found the washers / spacers are flimsy. After a few months they got burred and the action became sticky.
I got a rat 2 instead and am much happier. It's a much better folder in the same price range, imo.

No sir, won't buy anything with hinderer's name attached to it. There seems to be a lot of reliance on hype and perceptions regarding achievement and persona in the "knife world". I just need a sharp blade from an honest maker. IMO hinderer's name does most of the selling, to hinder, to disable, to injure. Zomg he designs them for soldiers! SOLD

I have had a few cryos. Gave them to others that needed a knife as I carry something a little nicer. Just got a cryo 2 and am remembering why I liked the cryo, but I may like the scrambler a little better (plus its an RJ martin design). I also like the all metal design....

I bought one, carried it for a few weeks and gave it away. A few months later I bought a G10, carried it for a couple of weeks and gave it away. I've tried so hard to love this knife, but it just doesn't fit me. I like the looks and action, but it's just a little too heavy and a little too slick (however the G10 was a huge improvement). Maybe I'll try a Cryo II...my buddy needs a new knife:rolleyes:
