I bought 2. 1 to try and de assist it and drill out the detent hole, and another for when I mess up the first one.
If you have access to a drill press it's almost impossible to mess it up. Just take your time and you don't have to go very deep

Thanks for the pointers Hatchetjack. I was hoping to use a .40 case, but it's just a hair too large. I went with a nickel case for this one and it worked out nicely.

So exactly what do you have to do? Do you just cut the rim off of the case and thats it? Or does the primer pocket need to be reamed out a little?

First, I counter-sunk the primer pocket a little, then drilled out the center for the screw to go through. Then, I cut the very end of the case off, right up to the edge the extractor grabs. I used the screw and washer from the existing stabilizer and installed it onto the knife. Seems to be working well.
But isn't the primer pocket larger in diameter than the screw head? What is the head grabbing onto?

Epoxy keeps everything together. Give it a try and you'll see how it all goes together. It's trial and error but you'll get it down.So with the case head and primer cut in half, you aren't worried about them separating? Seems like they wouldn't stay together as easily.
