Kershaw Cryo?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like the Cryo will only be a "deep carry" if you carry it tip down. It looks like if you carry it tip up, the handle will stick out a little bit.

The type of clip they're putting on the Cryo will give deeper carry in all positions than a standard clip would for the hole positions.

ThomasW, feel free to send me a prototype for testing, I'll let you know how the DLC and 8CR hold up offshore. :D

Specs and info in the new catalog.

The ZT catalog is still 2011.

3 3/4" close is a little small for me. 2013 how about Cryo 2 about 4 1/2" closed?

TI and Elmax would be a big hit, also made in the USA.......just dreaming.

I would think at that size (4.5" closed) and in those materials (TI, Elmax) it would be edging in a bit close to 0550/1 territory. I guess the Cryo's flipper would set it apart, but still...

It would be cool to see a USA version in the future though (albeit in a similar size to this current version :))... Hopefully, I'd be in a better position to afford it by then too, lol...

Good point. Zing size then and keep it nice and slim.

You'll be able to afford a China made version sooner than a USA made one. Also, Kershaw probably has a limited amount of production capacity in the US. If all there blades were made here, I bet there would be fewer of them. If I live long enough, maybe I'll be able to buy a Kershaw knife that was made on the moon.

WOW! cool colored steel handle with matching ti ni coating on blade, framelock. Hinderer design. These should sell lot hotcakes. Can't believe I'm so excited about a made in china kershaw. Its so nice to see a knife thats not yet another Black G10 offering.

Yep, that's what I meant. :) I certainly do plan on getting the import Cryo. Re-reading my post it does kind of come across that I wanted to hold out for a USA version, but I just meant that I would definitely be interested in one in addition to or as a future sequel to the import. And, that by the time they do it, if they do it, I will hopefully have a better job and won't have to think so hard about spending money.
