After flicking my Leek well past the 11,000 openings I'd heard the AO could handle (I flicked that thing compulsively, non-stop for a long time) it failed and I sent it back for repair. Kershaw sent me a brand-new one for no extra charge. The woman I spoke with about servicing my knife sounded like a nice person. I think this new one has lasted even longer.
They didn't ask if I preferred a new one vs. a fix-it job, but I didn't care. It felt like the exact same knife.
I'm not crazy about the Leek's appearance -- to me it's handle has "lumpy" lines and the finish looks like silver spray paint. But it feels great in your hand and that AO is just so, so sweet. It's so frickin' sharp, too. It's my favorite ugly knife. I'd buy it again in a second if I lost it. One day I'll get it in S30V/G10.
I'm not a Kershaw fanboy but I'd recommend their products and services to anyone.
