Stay away from the launch series. They have a design flaw resulting in questionable lockup IMO.

I know this is an old thread but I have to say that my launch 1, if I start from halfway deployed, does not have any spring tension. If I fire from closed it locks perfectly and I have not had any problems in use with mine failing. I just wanted to chime in that I can verify the no tension past halfway. Much like my speedsafe blur, except push button auto instead of thumbstud assist. I love both knives (my blur is a sprint run in cpm m4.)Nope. Launches 1 & 3.....when they were first available. At that time only 1, 2 & 3 were available. Each blade had no spring tension past the half way point. I wasn't the only member experiencing it.
Maybe they changed it by now.
