Here are some images of the new Kershaw/Lee William's OD1 from the Blade Show. Lee's new "Overdrive" mechanism is incorporated into the OD1. It allows the user to stay on the flipper till the blade is fully open. No more flipping "technique" necessary with this one. USA Made $79.95

Notice the flipper is still quite visible at the halfway point

Almost there, and the flipper is still active. The flipper tucks neatly into the spine.

Beautiful! That is a sleek lookin knife! Love the lines of that one. 2009 is starting to look like a very bad year for my wallet...

That is the one right there. That is the coolest flipper system.

Very nice.

These start shipping tonight, right?? :D

A few comparison shots for size. Here the OD1 sits next to a Leek. Delivery will be 3rd quarter.

And here I thought you had the sleek little knife niche locked up with the Leek. :)
The OD-1 is a winner.

Wow! Another one that I have to get now! If you want you can just send the prototype to me. So are these going to be 13C26 to begin with and then switch the 14C28 Jan 1 09?

lookin good for Kershaw, bad for my wallet and everyone else's LOL.

cant wait to try that new flipper mech!

I have to say that the ENER G didn't do it for me, but.......I like the looks of this one very much. Great size, great shape and that flipper.....very nice.

That is sweet ! Is it my imagination or does the blade look thicker , meatier than the finer blade on the Leek ?

I looked at this one a little more. It has made quite an impression on me. I'd like to suggest a fold over clip on this one. With that framelock and size it would be nice to carry that one deep in the pocket tip up. That would get the flipper out of the way and appease all the tip up guys all at once.
