It has a physcial "gear" in it best I can tell...25% human action = 50% mechanical action....as the blade opens, it only requires lets say 50% flipper motion to get 100% mechanical blade action.

I havent handled one yet, but thats what the pictures and explanations tell me...

Wait, I don't get it. How is this flipper different?

The flipper's not a fixed part of the blade on this one and doesn't rotate with the blade like a simple flipper; it's a lever/roller combo that tucks out of the way in place once the blade rotates past...

At least that's my take...
