So I was looking to get a new knife and I wasn't sure which to go with, I have never owned a spyderco but have had good experiences with kershaw. If there is any other knives like this in the under $100 price range please let me know. Thanks

The Endura is excellent but I'm not sure it's the right comparison for the Leek. The Delica is closer in size, and also excellent.

Apples and Oranges. Both are great. The Leek is a much lighter duty, assisted opening, stainless framelock. More of a "Gentleman's Knife" that can work if called upon. The Endura is larger, heavier duty, FRN slabbed lockback. More of a work knife that you probably won't be showing off when wearing a suit.

I'm not sure I have a Spyderco to compare directly with the Leek. Although, as average gimp said, the Delica is much closer in size.

There are a metric boat load of knives in the $100 price range that have average, to good, to great qualities. But more information needs to be given on your end as to what your goals and desires are for this particular purchase.

Spyderco Manix 2 LW or Benchmade mini Grip, IMHO both are better knives than the two you listed for under $100.

Like comparing an apple to a bulldozer.

The leek is slim and "weak" (don't hang me!), assisted, framelock, 14c28n made in USA.

And the Emdura is kinda slim, long, light, and a bit stronger. With a different lock, a different deployment method, different handles, made on the other side of the planet with VG-10.

I own 2 Leeks and 2 Enduras and they are both good knives for the money.

If choosing just between those 2, I would go Endura all the way.

Both good knives but with different intended uses. Buy both.

The standard approved Bladeforums answer. :D
And in this case, very true.

I would lean towards the Endura being "better", but they are so different that it's really hard to say definitively.

The Endura is capable of harder work, but the Leek carries very small, and can still do most normal tasks.

IMO, the Endura is a better knife. It's likely much larger than you imagine, however. I'd get a Delica to start.

I simply like Spydercos more. The leek is still a great knife.

Keep your eyes on the exchange and grab a Delica and an Endura for 100 bucks or less.

Lots of people like the Leek. I don't. It has two features I dislike: metal grip panels and assisted opening. I do like the Endura (and most Spydercos). Obviously I would pick the Endura.

Thanks, but I wasn't considering size more of the quality and what's better

Fair enough: the Endura. Why? Better steel, a grippier handle, and completely ambidextrous operation and carry. I like the Leek, have owned several of them, and still own one because it was a gift from my father. If I worked in a suit and tie environment, a Leek is what I'd carry as it's a dressier and less conspicuous knife.

The assisted opening of the Leek makes the one hand closing nearly impossible, or you just risk cutting yourself. Otherwise it really is a nice EDC knife.

Chevy Camaro or Ford Raptor... which is "better"? I suppose it would depend on intended use. Somebody always says "Buy Both", and I usually roll my eyes, however it is very good advice in this case. But if somebody held up both knives and told me I had to pick just one of them for all of my daily cutting chores? I'd take the Endura.

If there is any other knives like this in the under $100 price range please let me know.

Hoo-Boy, but you've opened a big world for yourself. Head over to the exchange, visit all of our BFC paid dealers, roam the for-sale forums... you'll be at it for quite some time.

No Leek here, but 2 Enduras.....black handle CE which is a BEAST of a work knife, and gray handle FFG, little lighter but can flat out CUT!! I beat the snot out of both and they keep coming back for more!
I also have a couple of trans blue Manix 2 lw.....for a few bucks more I'd take the Manix all day long. YMMV, but the Manix is SOOO much more flickable and fun....oh and it can cut stuff too!
Really depends on your particular requirements.
Good luck!
Joe
