Kershaw OD-1 Wish List?

I love the OD-1. I have 2 of them. I like the clip on this one. Clip style has always been one of my deal-breakers for Kershaw knives. I was less than impressed with the clip on my JYD II. I found it way too gaudy for a great knife. The clip on my Needs Work is next to useless. The OD-1 however is nearly perfect for a small every day use knife in my book. Smooth slick opening and secure lockup in a slim package.

Crazy!!! My very own thread gone ZOMBIE!!!:D:thumbup: Well now a year later, after actually using my OD-1 for a boatload of chores. I can say the only thing I would change would be the blade steel. I really did not care for the Sandvik 14C28N stainless-steel. Just my opinion. As for the design, it was a tough hard working knife that never had a function failure.:D:thumbup:

Great knife !

I did a lot of tweaking on mine to make it right for me. Under all that horrible beadblast is some pretty stainless steel :) I also tweaked the lock by removing a tiny bit off the lockbar and so it is more positive bent it in some, I thought this would make it harder to flip but it barely changed the action at all , now the lockup is rock solid and I'm not paranoid about it closing on me. The G10 polishes up nice too , I wish I had pics of mine on me but I do not.
The steel seems like a good , working steel.

No need to DIY orange G-10 slabs, Kershaw just released the OD-1 in orange G10. Here's mine:

The orange OD-1 is real sweeet! ASide from the pocket clip, it's the perfect light duty knife!

I sold my OD-1 a while back. I'm not sure why I did because I actually loved that knife. Mine had a fairly weak detent so I was glad it was tip down only when I did EDC it. Otherwise I would have stabbed my fingers often.

I just may get another one though. I really miss that knife. Hopefully the detent will be better on the next one.

As far as other versions, yeah, I'd love to see an S30V, ZDP-189 or CB version. But to be quite honest, the 14C28N is quite good enough for me.

I've owned both the original OD-1 from when it first came out, and currently own the updated OD-1 in orange. The original had a very weak detent to tip up RFP was my only option but it was butter smooth so I loved it. I passed it on to an aspiring knife nut a few months ago and he has been carrying it since.
The orange OD-1 I have has a much stronger detent and can no longer be wrist flicked open. My dad used to carry it on a daily basis but he never developed into a knife nut so it doesn't get used much anymore. The newer versions are tighter, have a stronger detent, and overall feel a little bit more "polished" in quality. Just the little improvement in closed retention really makes the knife feel higher quality.

Could someone post a pic of the OD-1 compared to a Delica 4? I have seen the OD-2 in person, but can't really get an idea as to how much bigger the OD-1 is.

Thanks!
